I have always loved Highland Cathedral or Skye Boat. She moved through the Fair is one I may start using as I have recently added it to my repertoire.

It seems like the bagpipes are limited to play the correct notes in the Wedding March. Is there a way to make that tune work better on bagpipes?

There's something about (bag) pipes. I find them quite soothing

I like how each of these songs sounds like they were played on bagpipes.

My niece wanted bagpipes for her wedding and the ceremony was in a chapel with a nice organ. She asked me to help with the music (I’m a professional violinist) so I found two pipers that came to play Highland Cathedral with the organist. They arrived early and carefully tuned to the organ, placing little pieces of Scotch tape (haha, I just realized that’s funny!) on the holes of the chanter to change the pitch slightly. I was super impressed! It’s way easier to tune a violin than a bagpipe! At the end of the ceremony, they began playing Highland Cathedral, then the organ joined in, and the pipers led the bride and groom down the aisle to their music. It was magnificent!

Hearing the Pipes echoing round Lindsfarne Castle while walking my Daughter up the ramparts on her Wedding day was the most emotional moment, absolutely wonderful, especially hearing
Mairi's wedding (traditional)
Peter, Master Piper from Eyemouth will always have my admiration and thanks.

Fun fact:
Me and my wife got a scotland themed wedding and we actually hired bagpipers for the ceremony and stuff… But I stumbled on this video one week AFTER the wedding 😀
Though, the bagpipers were amazing and they did the third of the songs in here :p

There are no "Songs" on bagpipes. Songs, by definition, have words.

I am a man which is interested in many folklore from Europe. From south to north , from east to west ! One of my favorite folklore is the Scottish with Bagpipes. I composed a rather good piece of music that is on this address : https://youtu.be/a3-ZQZjORMQ I am looking for a cooperation with someone. I have another compose of a huge quality , but no Bagpipers for a realization ! If you like my music feel free to contact me on my e-mail address , that is shown in my video. I am living in Germany , but I am not a German. They mostly have no interest in their own folklore music , so not to speak of foreign music.
