I attended a wedding where they had a dietary requirements table… everyone with allergies or intolerances were sat together.
We laughed about it, and I'm sure it was very convenient for the venue, but it also did feel a little awkward. (The food was amazing though!)

Another thing to consider is that one friend who is single and doesn't know anyone else at the wedding. That happened to me and my friend had arranged her friend's to 'look after me' which i was infinitely grateful for. Not easy going to a wedding like that!
