Great tips! I think a better title might be how to look classy/sophisticated while traveling. The “appropriate outfit” observations are spot on! No gym clothes outside the gym!
Thank you so much Anna 🙏🌹
Yes look expensive to look like a rich westerner so you can get robbed😂 Only newbs want to look expensive when traveling. Smart seasoned travelers prefer to blend in with locals, avoid jewelry and dress modestly to avoid attention
I don't even have any sneakers in my wardrobe
The new polyesters we have in the States don't trap heat. And best of all, of course, they don't need to be ironed. I never travel abroad with linen in my suitcase.
I love your take on respecting churches and the places you go by not wearing hot pants and halter or spaghetti straps there. It is a myth that wearing less clothes will keep you cooler. Just wear the right fabrics and cover yourself to stay cool. Awesome video.
I just came across this video today. I'm leaving in the morning. Fortunately, I have most on my checklist. Thanx!
I like an elegant tote that I can wear on my shoulder – I have room for a scarf or lightweight cardigan or a small bottle of water…even a travel umbrella – plus a place to carry purchases
Dressing respectfully is the most important thing. (I look awful in hats)
Молодец!
A small designer bag is hopeless if you want to carry a book, your passport, sunscreen, wallet, keys, phone – all basic essentials for “touristing” fine if going out for dinner but not at all realistic for a day of sightseeing.
I enjoy having water throughout out the day when out sightseeing. Can you recommend a way to have water with me without adding the masculine look of a bag pack?
Ok so the bag thing is cute but VERY impractical of you have children.
What happened to your left elbow?? Mega bruises!
I love linen but can't stand the wrinkle.
Linen make you look like a wrinkled mess. I can never find linen that doesn't crease.
I don’t want to look expensive I want to be comfortable and relaxed it’s my vacation so I don’t need to impress others rather than my own comfort
I like that you mentioned respecful dress code at church
I think wear what makes you comfortable and most importantly happy! There are no rules when it comes to your vacation time. We dress up enough at work, so I don’t care to be perfect when it’s my well deserved time off.
💯 to everything!
Style for women 60 +
Queen of classy outfits 😍
White sneakers are super in style in the U.S., with the wealthy, with even super nice outfits. I saw sneakers at the Symphony! I know it takes some getting used to, but I’m embracing that trend. I like it! I do love linen. It’s everywhere in the U.S. in all forms. You can’t go wrong with linen. Linen is an investment that will never go out of style. Backpacks and Fanny packs should never be seen out, ever. Sleeveless blouses are elegant. Think Audrey Hepburn. One can’t have too many of them. Agreed with white, elegant shorts. With sunglasses, I simply have to have my prescription ones, so my super cool Ray Bans (which were not cheap, I must say), will have to do.
These are great tips just for summer wear in general. I’m staying home most of the summer, and I want the to look good!
Where did you get the dress you have on, love it!
I don't get why you want to look "expensive" as a tourist. Making yourself a target to get pickpocketed, robbed, scammed?
No don’t want to be robbed
No linen in my wardrobe hate it a crumpled mess is a no no
I do have a backpack when I travel because my extra pair of shoes, water bottle and souvenirs won’t fit into a small leather bag which I prefer to carry around in my own city. Il
