I’m so traditional I need traditional invitations and RSVP cards and hard liquor lol. But we are drinkers it will definitely be missed if we didn’t have it. Like you said do what’s best for you it’s your wedding. Great info on the dress I’ll be looking into a rack dress now

ways we are saving money for our wedding:
-No bridesmaids/Groosmen
-No guest party favors (let's be honest most people don't care about it anyways)
-SMALL guest list. We are having 50-65 people at the most
-We made our own save the dates/wedding invites on canva.
-Fake Florals
We are having a small intimate wedding, and for us it was the way to go.

Awesome though pictures would be helpful. As for dresses Essence of Australia is probably one ofthe best choices. Why? They already have high end looking designs that re cheaper from the first start. Then if it is discontinued that owuld be a sweet deal. I am not saying they are budget dresses but they material, style anddetails are of much higher price designs to start with.. Sams, Costco or supermarket flowers can be great. Yes, greens can look great – try seeded eucalytus with other forms of eucalytus looks amazing. You can do your own exotics with tropical leaves and birds of paradise or gineger or very dramatic calla lilies – you don't need a lot. Still toomuch work or worried about do you have an eye. Hydrangeas. A single hydrangeas for the bridesmaids and a bouquet for the bride can look amazing – white for the girls and then a color that coordinates – pink, blue or purple or if the accent color doesn't come in a hydrange natural color – green hydrangeas for the bride – wow, elegant, goes with a lot of looks (formaility leels) Just prepare the hydrangeas properly – soak in water heads and all for 8 hours with stem bottoms cut and split an inh or twoo (smashed). Boil in water for 30 seconds (stems) and dip in alum.) , Save oninvites andyes do the diy – and for things like menus, tablenumbers print it yourself heck even a basic photocopier will handle things like that even programs. For the grom get a suit he can reuse or look online for a tux – note lmost grooms and brides are fairly young and int he best shape of their lives – they look good in anything. The key is get the dress and suit fitted well. H and M suit can look amazing if fitted roperly especially on an in fit guy ; likewise with the ladies. The key is fit and some wisechoices. Go with ARdene/claire bling accents if you are a bling person – heck even the dollarstore has hair and jewelery that can look good or rolls of bling that can be used tfor jewelery – yep I used a roll of bling (metal like) at the last minute to create a cuff for the bride to give the finishing touch. I touched up Payless shoes with some E6000 and glammed it up with feathers and bling. Yes, cakes do cupcakes, DIY bring your own desserts. But a cake for drama is often desireable – stack cakes proeprly or do a naked cake – so elegant and easy to make (well relatively. Do one cake for cutting and sheetcake to keep rices down; use those free wedding websites to communicate with guests, reach out to those who do use the internet. For the bride and bridesmaids look at sales or clearance after newyears and Christmas or proms. I understand the risk of some online companies bu there are some respected ones ASOS, Lulu's Nordstrom Rack David Bridal Clearance, Macy's Las't Call,

We are having a somewhat spontaneous wedding in 2.5 months and I am freaking out. His family is so lovely and offered us a venue and even food. But there's still so much more to consider that we haven't figured out and don't have the budget for. Chairs, tables glasses, bowls, plates, silver ware, decorations… Aaah
Great tips tho! I will DIY and handwrite the invitations and some of the decoration for sure!

Florist here! My businesses minimum is $4000 for a full service wedding, and the truth is, if you want a gorgeous floral experience requires at least that much. I totally disagree with what she said about using a “new florist” is cheaper because they “try hard.” The fact is, new florists who accept a bride at a small budget don’t make any money and usually end up paying out of pocket, which is extremely hurtful for them personally and professionally. Not cool.

Another tip is only hire new person (or none at all) in the wedding industry for things that matter less to you or of a less priority because you sometimes paying less means they would be less experienced in handling the day of wedding timeline which could affect lots of things in your wedding. So choose the areas that you could pay less and areas wherein you could allocate more money.

Can you tell me where you printed your invitations and where you got the envelopes from? I’m thinking about doing them myself but I’m having a hard time finding good quality envelopes!

How did you print your own envelopes?

calligraphy is for sure a luxury you should only go for if you truly can afford it and value it. I agree a lot of vendors and wedding sellers are crazy costly, but calligraphy is expensive because its all by hand and takes forever plus it absolutely kills your hands and back by the end, plus if you make one mistake you have to start all over by hand. most calligraphers deserve their pay.

Do you have video where you show images of everything you discussed (invitations, flowers, dress, etc)?

I have saved so much money for my wedding by diying my invitations, save the dates, centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres and buying a second hand wedding dress for $28!
