i'm not a native speaker, as is my supervisor and i have a question… is the word "ok/okay" "unprofessional"? can some native speaker confirm/deny? i can't imagine hearing "ok" and then being like "OK, this is outrageous, how can he be so unprofessional" right after i used it myself. also, it just feels wrong when the customer is chill and i'm like "of course, Please give me a moment while i pull up that information. Would You mind being on hold while i do that?" it's like i'm distancing myself from the customer, basically saying "wow, bring it down mr, i'm not your bro". why can't we just be humans
