Nice content. I think the trick when applying combos is to always make sure the overlapping layers are always darker than the underlaying, such as the shirt. So whatever's in direct contact with the skin should preferably be a lighter shade. Whatever goes over that should be slightly darker by default. It's a little something i learned from the @askokey youtube channel.

If you’re wearing mixed match suits, that’s exactly what it looks like. It looks like dog shit. If your jacket does not match your pants, it should be either a sports coat or a blazer. The jacket should be a stand alone piece. You really are giving terrible advice.
Some are nice but I wouldn't do some of the combinations and of course you have to consider circumstance. the all black double breasted is classic for business. The navy and light solid Gray as well for business or a date. The white button up shirt is an absolute staple but not the light blue or pink or creme for any formal or taken seriously. Sometimes the combinations can't be taken seriously, they look like a phony cheap costume no matter how handsome the dude in it looks

The mistake comes from the choices of your shirts.

So no you don't have 75 suits you have 5 suits that you break up and mix and match to create 75 looks half of which don't look so great 😳
Well first of all that dark brown with red – burgundy shirt and tie combo is a very poor choice.
Matching shirt and ties is amateur and always has been, it's for people who don't have a clue and have to be told what to wear.
And it's not their fault, and unfortunately you get people like Harvey and others and people believe what they say as truth.
Nothing against Mr. Harvey I have been to his show and he has stepped up his game a lot, but that doesn't make him a professional clothier, tailor, image consultant etc..
I can tell a good joke or two talk on stages but that doesn't make me an expert on the subject 🤪
I understand your disagreement with black being the 1st suit to get, but I personally believe that it's the most conservative or safe option because a man with black suit is covered going to interview, wedding, funeral, fancy date night etc. It's the one color that's most practical and every one can look amazing in this color. Navy can read as black and to your point with a more fair skinned man. This might be a better choice for the 1st suit.

Great video I appreciate the additions and your why but now it isn’t what Steve was talking about at all. It was for budget friendly if you need to start a suit assortment the 5 is a go to, due to the fact that suits so expensive. Different will try a few of your suggestions for the upcoming season 👍🏾

My math might be off but I got over 75 combinations…Solid (5) x 3 =15; shirts; 1 jacket × 4 pants x 3 shirts =12 x 5 jackets = 60…I would add a French blue shirt and a pink shirt.
I think with tanned suit or sky blue suit can work with a black check shirt but it's amazing on how you are explaining that you don't need 75 suit combinations but need less on that number like 20 or 40 combinations can work out with those coloured suits
I'm light skinned, I think I look good in a light blue button up.

He was talking about actual dress shirts. He’s also talking about solid colors and it’s the actual color of the suits that you chose. I’ve seen other YouTubers do it even the women with skirt suits and it was nice just like he says. He never said turtlenecks or zippered shirts 😂

the big problem with your cominations its your blue polo shirt that did not combine with any suit man
Black and tan are colors that suit very few light-skinned people. Choosing the colors should be based on your complexion, and if it is warmer or cooler toned. Black and white are too harsh for your color complexion. You have very few contrasts in your complexion, therefore you struggle to combine black. Navy is better for you, and middle blue might even be better. I am also not sure if this fit flatters your body shape the most. If you want to look your best and are supposed to be very presentable, take a color analysis into consideration. It's worth it.
So Steve is right 😂 The thing is: even the ones that didn't work, if the suit and the shirt fit was right and if you add a couple accessories, even though you're not perfect, you'd look better than 98% of the people around you. Thats the win
