i have seen couples who spent less yet they still filed for divorce. great money saving tip is dont marry immediately after being engaged. get to know each other better or live under one roof so yall can see how your SO acts if you ever get married. some are so eager to live the bridal experience just for the short-term entitlements that comes with it.

My cousin got married and she made the young girls serve the food (I was one of them [out of 4] and I was like 10) and me grandma had sewed every single one of our aprons with our names on it. Of course she didn’t force us to, we could choose to or not but it was great

7.) Thrift your dress. I found a gorgeous vintage dress for 120USD
8.) Consider a destination wedding. Weddings in Europe are much cheaper than the US. Book off-season to save on travel costs.
9.) Network into a venue. My brother got his venue for free since it was at a vineyard that my dad's poker buddy owned. Ask around to see if anyone you know has a good property you could use
10.) Skip unnecessary events. We didn't do a breakfast the morning after, engagement party, and for my bach I just did a day at the museum with my best friend.
11.) Get legally married before the ceremony. If filing taxes jointly saves you a good deal of money, get legally married prior to the wedding if it's not happening in the same tax year.

Or just, you know, get married at the court house and have a small reception for family?
