Some churches require that you leave any flowers after the ceremony. In addition, many families feel this is a gift to the church even if not required. It could be considered a social faux pas to remove the flowers.

About repurposing: I don't want any flowers but I try to use as many things as possible which can serve a purpose after the wedding! For example: A ring dish (instead of pillow) which can be a ring tray at home for whenever we take the rings off (for swimming, kneading dough etc.). Buying not TOO "bridal looking" shoes, jewelry, bag, getting a reception outfit (dark green tulle skirt and white top instead of a white dress) which I can wear separately to other occasions. Decorating every table differently so I can use it for home decoration (difficult with 15 identical candle holders/lanterns/vases, easier with different ones) and maybe a welcome sign which does not read "Welcome to our wedding" or something like that so we can hang it on our wall because it's not wedding specific [well, we are moving into a new home shortly before the wedding and do not own much decorating objects yet, so that's quite handy]. So many possibilities! 🙂
Thanks for the video! I will beware of high table decorations 😀

Hi, just found your channel and are finding your videos really helpful. Only recently got engaged and thinking of the wedding later next year, but already there is so much to think about. Thank you for explaining things clearly in a friendly way
