Girl Im just showering, buying a cute dress with shoes and hairstyle/makeup and that's it😂 I'm already doing more than the groom just showering, buying suit and styling hair .

I never understood why women go out of their way to change themselves before their wedding. Your husband picked you how you are, so why do we feel pressured to lose weight, have perfect skin, spend a crap ton on hair and facials… men will get a haircut the day before and maybe shave and theyre done lmao. But hey whatever floats your boat I guess

This is just a reminder that if you’re getting married and you work fulltime it will be nearly impossible to do all the prep the internet deems necessary. Do what you can but remember they love you for how you are, thats why they’re marrying you. And its all over so incredibly quick, its easy to get caught up in attempts at perfection, but you are there to share and celebrate the love between two people, not to become the best most (probably unattainable) perfect version of yourself. Dont let the pressure distract you from what a wedding really means.

What I did to be happy healthy and ready for my big day without going broke :
– cut out sugary processed foods except testing wedding cake!
– walk on country roads to pray for your future husband and soak up the sun.
– a timeless haircut or have a friend trim it.
– spend more time preparing for marriage than for the wedding day
– meal prep freezer meals for your first few weeks of married life
– the day before spend lots of time with your fiancé in anticipation!
– exfoliate and take a rose water bath! My skin smelled sweet for days!!

I love spending time on my skincare and well-being too but I don’t have that kind of money yet and I’m a stay at home mom for 3 yrs and can’t wait to start working so for now I have no income just what my man gives me 😂
Me thinking this was gonna be about filing licenses, booking locations, buying decorations, making photography arrangements, reaching out to officiants, etc etc 😭😭😭

Damn, other brides are really serious about all this. We decided to get married and a month later we were married, with 2 weeks preparation with all traditions kept. There was no agency, we (me and my husband) organized everything and we payed for our wedding.
