This video should be mandatory viewing for any best man or maid of honor. He is so right on the "inside joke". That just kills the room and has no place in a toast. Before the cell phone, people used to use que cards with bullet points. Now… people are so messed up by phones they read them off their phones verbatim and look like robots. They also don't realize that their screen is casting a bluish unflattering look from underneath.

How is he qualified to teach us about speeches when his own has no substance for the first four minutes? Filling time with fluff/jokes automatically makes you a bad speaker. Because 80% of the audience is going to tune out after minute two.

For quick reference:
1) 7 seconds: a story or lesson about that person
2) why we are here
3) why you are giving the speech
4) story with struggle conflict and resolution
5) one shareable truth

😥😥😥shooo!!! You make it sound oh so easy. I was asked to do a toast at my sisters birthday party on the 2 of October 2021 and thats in front of very well speaking english guests. Prior to listening to you I was in a panic state and already sweating. But I look forward to the challenge now that I have listened to you. 👌👌👌
