Man this is SUPER useful! I love the fact that you build up from just on-camera all the way into explaining why to use the off-camera ones (yes I subscribed haha)

What about if this was outside?

great introduction but I expected to have more technical details how you setup your equipment (camera, v1s, ad200pro, ttl vs manual…) to keep the ambiance color and just illuminate faces… (party photography)

I have 4 of these V1 flashes. Off camera and on camera in manual mode okay. But I you need reliable TTL and full power shots invest in native flashes. I just got Nikon SB5000 and I can't even tell how much better it is. I won't get rid of V1's for stobbing purposes but for on camera needs I'll got for Nikon.

THANK YOU. I see so many people only talking about big set ups and multiple flashes and it’s just so expensive when you’re just starting out. To hear someone say you can start with just two or even ONE flash is so comforting.

Great video and explanation. I recently did an event using two AD200’s in a large venue. Do you set your off camera flash to TTL or Manual? Or do you take a test shot in TTL and then switch it to manual and make your adjustments to your liking? And would you recommend using grids on your off camera flash to control the spill of light? That’s a lot of questions. Maybe you can talk about it in another video. It would make great content.

I have both the V1 and 200. How do you control the V1 if used off camera and how do you control or what settings is it when you have V1 on camera and the AD 200 off camera as you had it?

Have you ever used the ad200 in outdoor situation?
