Colorful eyeshadow Do's and Don'ts
I hate this thumbnail 🥲 But my brother chose it. Blame him. ANYWAY. Today we’re talking about the basics of blending colorful eyeshadow and how to avoid that horrible muddy look! Hope it helps! And let me know if you want to see this with other colors! 🙌🏼❤️

Thanks Alex. I just wanted to let you know I keep coming back to your video, esp this one when I need to relearn the color wheel 😅
This explanation is A1. Thank you!!! You explained the color wheel, why it’s important, and how to pair and blend. Instant sub. ❤
When the “bad”/incorrect way is what you want 😅
My clothing style borders on grunge and academia. I have never done my makeup before, but for a secret reason I bought everything I need for eye makeup and a couple liquid lipsticks.
Well… guess it will depend on the outfits because I like the second technique shown for the outfit I was thinking about doing.
I'm trying to perfect my ombre skills. Thank you for this video! ❤
con you make a tutorial for pink and green eye makeup?
"This is what you shouldn't do"
Me: OK but I really like that though….
How do I get the colours to stay vibrant through? Even when I got in with one colour it gets patchy. Is is because I am using a fluffy brush
I am not going to lie the first moment this lady opened her mouth
She had me so relaxed, she has a very relaxing vocal tone and its very Asmr like❤
This has helped me more than you know, thank you!!!🦋🦋🦋
tbh i only watched this bc shes pretty👻🫶🏼
Your eyes pop so beautifully with this look!
Remember how sad you were when you were a little kid and you didn't get the vibrant colors you expected when you mixed your red, yellow, and blue paints? Red, yellow, and blue are not the primary colors. How many colors can your computer monitor display? Television? iPhone? They use red, green, and blue. Those are the primary colors because those are the ones we can see. But eye makeup is like printing. The pigments absorb some of the electromagnetic waves that reach them and reflect the rest. Those pigments subtract part of the light and the rest goes into the viewer's eyes. Color printers nowadays can produce almost any color we can imagine. So those inks must be red, yellow, and blue, right? Nope. They are cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. Red, green, and blue are the primary colors in the additive color space and cyan, magenta, yellow, and black are the primaries in the subtractive color space. This has been settled science for longer than you have been alive.
Love this video! I learned some new things! Love you!
i know it’s not the focus of this video but how do you create that lip look? do you use a lipliner is it a tinted gloss or oil? thanks 🙂
So helpful❤
Something extra for the color theory enthusiasts out there. No pigment is really just yellow, blue or red, they have undertones too, just like your skintone. If you want to mix a yellow and blue to make a green, you want to make sure, they have the same undertone, or it gets very muddy. It can even work with complementary colors, if you pick a purple with red undertone and a yellow with red undertones you get a better result than a yellow with a green undertone.
Curious how CYM works with blending. I'm gonna try a little sample
UR A LIFE SAVOR!!! ONE YEAR LATER, GIRL, IDC. U ARE THE BEST ONE!! THE FIRST VIDEO IN EVER I ACTUALLY UNDERSTANDD. AUGHHH!!!<3

Great video 💙💛❤💚💜

2:17 the purple being named 'Ecowas' is so funny to me. If it is actually named after the Economic Community of West African States… it's like if a palette had a nice bright copper color called NAFTA
Wow! 🤩 Thank you!! You seriously just explained things in a way that was more easily understandable than any teacher I’ve ever had!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Learning!
Thank you so much ❤
