Is that in the US or aus or Canada ?
I spent around $2000 dollars on entire wedding including everything. No photographer, my sisters and few of my wife's female friends took the pictures and shared with us later.
Oh no we did courthouse and for two years now we’re are happily married in our brand new house , very financial stable, good credit and stress free we are enjoying life and we take vacation trips to see other countries .❤

Bro I am from India 🇮🇳 and a average indian wedding or gujarati wedding we spent about an 150,000 to 200,000 usd.
In India we go 4-8x, and those are average ones, I have been to 2-3 million us dollar weddings
My wadding cost 1400$ dollars and I invite 2000 people including friends, and full of luxury I love it God gift is amazing.
I think a better question would have been would you do anything different if you had to pay for everything.

my aunt and uncle paid 11000€ just for the guest seats so I can only imagine how much the car they hired cost the food decorations,ring wedding dress and so on and the whole restaurant or whatever it is

City hall , dress was a recycle, potluck in the back yard garden. A few hundred dollars, like around $ 400 .
