In Orthodox Christian countries the wedding ring is traditionally worn on the fourth finger of the right hand.

You forgot to mention, if you want to marry someone who is super-hot then remember, their favorite words are " No prenuptial agreement! '.

Ana Luisa? Is that Brazilian? Because it's just good manners for any Brazilian born person in the internet to shout BRAZIL MENTIONED at the top of their lungs, if that is to be the case.

As a Doctor of Emergency Medicine, I can confirm that there is absolutely no such 'veins from the ring finger to the heart. Nice thought, though….😊

An engagment ring is according to tradition and proper etiquette the ring should be a plain goldring .The left hand is the correct one . And both the man and the woman get a ring. At the wedding the woman get a new ring .

All blood passes through the heart, so YES, there is a vein in your ring finger that leads all the way to your heart.

Over the years, this bloke reminded me more and more like Michael Jackson, but from the English middle class, always pretending to be something he is not, awful mannerisms and now with all that bottox and swollen face that looks like plastic surgery gone horribly wrong. And to top it up, recedingly nasty hair…

The ring also represents the Crown of Thorns, so it also symbolizes sacrifice for one’s beloved.

I learned that it was a Roman believe, although that doesn't mean it isn't a Egyptian believe (aswell.) And ofcourse, all fingers have a line to the heart, as that is where the blood comes from.
