💒 gifts aren’t easy things to send and follow etiquette properly.

Very true. A card is good manners, but a gift is never obligatory.

It's like showing up to a birthday party empty handed. You showed at least always give a card.

If Emily Post or Miss Manners ever watched this, they've have a freaking heart attack. Gifts are NOT an obligation. Invitations are not invoices, people.

You should give a gift if you're invited, even if you're not attending? Cool. Ima invite Obama, the Queen of England, Bill Gates, Rupert Murdock, and Martha Stewart to mine!

I did not know that I'm supposed to send a gift even if I'm not going.

Hmm, maybe for my wedding, I'll purposely invite everyone I know can't go just so they'll give me a gift.

Sounds like a plan.
