I see I'm a little late to the party, but I wanted to comment on the cocktail attire. I sell suits and help people put together wardrobes, and when I help folks prepare for a cocktail event (wedding, gathering, etc.) I always tell them that "it's like business and party had a baby." What I mean by this is that you want to pull in some of the structure of a business outfit, but you should have some fun with it!

If the dress code is “Garden Semi Formal” would it be okay to wear a navy suit without a tie or is that doing too much?

I have been watching your posts for a while now and I have to say that I do not share your style preferences, but I think that you are a great guy, though.
I am 50 in 2023, male, and going to my niece's wedding reception (she and her husband are both 30) in Phoenix in November 2023. She said "garden party casual." That means, I can ditch the tie. Obviously, don't upstage the couple, although I'd say that's more about FEMALE guests and the BRIDE. Is a decent dress shirt, solid color, decent pants and decent shoes ok? I'm single, and there MIGHT be women who are 32-28 there, who are Bandido Desperado (beyond desperate), so while I'm not counting on anything happening for me, it's not an opportunity that i want to waste.

Also, ask your date what the groomsmen are wearing. I went a wedding dressed almost identical to the best man, by accident. Super awkward looking like the entire wedding party on the dance floor.

Thank you very much for this video. It helped me a lot. I will go to a wedding in the middle of summer to Poland and it will be hot. This video is amazing. Just wondering why the trousers are so short. As people at the wedding might look, you grow up from those trousers. Or maybe the new look for 2023 has to be like those skinny jeans nova days 🤔
