I find myself preferring the tuxedo to a normal suit. I’m in my late 60’s and have worn tuxes pretty much my whole adult life. For me, it’s easier to put the tux on, insert the studs and links (always wear double cuffs!), tie up the bow, button on the braces and put the cummerbund on. Included are the shoes and I can put the whole garment on in just under 20 minutes and then will detail it. Most of the ladies in my ward appreciate that I dress up and love my bow ties (yes I wear more than just black) and the other men don’t say much, but secretly admire me for being willing to dress up formal for church. I often get asked where I get my stuff and that’s indeed high praise. I harbor a desire that we men go back to dressing up like they did in the early 20th century even though most of us don’t have dirty jobs to really make the changing of clothes seem like a big deal. I just think that we need to do it so that we don’t have to look sloppy. I consider short sleeves an abomination. But if we do abandon the casual look and start dressing formally we will be doing ourselves a big favor because we will start taking many things more seriously than we do now. And that’s how we will actually achieve the greatness that should be ours. Elections help but it is also up to us to bring about a different attitude towards our daily lives that will really make the difference. And dressing formally is just one part of that attitude change.
Lets bring all this back cause its beautiful and men need it
the gentleman on glasses looks like an handsome Android 😂
Every man should have a friend like Preston.
Dutch:geen pochet en boutonniere samen!
Pochet is ook ter versiering.
Het is geen zakdoek om te gebruiken (dan kon het wel)
Question. Now I know as a general rule but according to you guys. evening, where either starts at Sunset or 6 PM, which ever comes first? Here’s a question for you if your event is overall during the day, but it ends in the evening how do you dress for the morning or for the evening? and you’re not bringing a change of clothes meaning your changing from morning to eveningwear? Do you have an explicit video on a morning dress code about the stroller suit? I know you have it for the equivalent to white tie, but do you have the equivalent video to black tie?
This guy sounds and looks like the main AI character in Detroit: Become Human
I wonder, in cases when you are not actually invited such as a bar, can you wear a tuxedo ( i am assuming a more upscale cocktail bar )?
You see Bond wearing tuxedos or dinner jackets at places like casinos.
Or does the place have to state that it prefers black tie?
After seeing President Macron and Prince Charles formal diner I have to say that you never use whit tie ever. It's gone along the evening gown for woman. On the other hand tuxedo is for special occasion only, for example a new year. event but not for run of the mill opera or concert. The new formal is a suit but not business suit, a party suit. No brooks brother, more like gucci.
Good explain..i just want to know ..do tuxedo were tailcoat before its now similar today like normal suit jacket today..coz some shop sell same tailcoat tuxedo buat no U-shape waistcoat and no stripe lining both side pants…looking forward new video explain tailcoat tuxedo..thanks
It seems the Tuxedo had historical correlations to the bourgeois class of the Industrial Revolution. However as the bourgeois fragmented into what might be dubbed the brand as attributed to corporate structure then regalia seems to be added to the classic Tuxedo so as to distinguish the group from within the broader class structure which has all but vanished into forms of identity politics as trends within political economies of scale.
At 1:09 you can see Raphael's bow tie isn't fastened to the collar stud, this is improper and outrageous!
The way this man looks and talks reminds me so much of Connor from Detroit become human.
Here down under, the deb ball I’m going to most boys are the kind who would wear a football jersey if they could.
Thanks for history this is too long
Yak yak….
I had no idea that the Masons(Heretics) stole the Gmail icon 😂
In Sweden the tuxedo is associated with parties (with cocktail dresses for women). And as such many still consider it inappropriate to wear in church and at weddings. But of course etiquette rules aren't really strict, and due to american influence tuxedo weddings are sometimes occuring.
jesus christ dude, relax your face when talking
Tuxedos should be more acceptable to be worn often because it just looks so good and classy and I should be able to go out without getting funny looks
Yeah, it's especially hard to avoid the sunlight when it never goes dark during the summer months in places far enough away from the equator, like in the northernmost parts of Alaska, Canada and Scandinavia.
I have traditional tuxedos, a couple of tails. Your recitation of the history is correct.
Most men do not known when it is appropriate to wear a tuxedo. Most men do not own tuxedos as well. It matters to the women, greatly.
I also have top hats.
In the Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, black tie is mandatory.
I shall be attending a cruise next summer, and it includes four formal nights. I am quite young (as in under 18), and I feel a very distinct motivation to attain a tuxedo, despite the likelihood of outgrowing it. I have always held an interest in classic menswear, and I would like to believe that I wear such as well as my budget will allow.
I blame them.
I was never pregnant even 1 time before that
