Your peak lapels should have been more narrow to match your frame, and the peaks should be lower too. The buttons on Suitsupply suits are about an inch too high. Combining this with the wide lapels, it makes your torso look short.

Do NOT pretend that a black suit is black tie. It is not. And wearing a bow tie with a suit is an absolute travesty . This advice breaks every possible rule. If you say your wedding is black tie and you show up in a black SUIT, you run the risk of one of your guests wearing a black tux and you look underdressed at your own wedding . Ps, I will be that guy that out-dress you . Don't take this advice – it's flat out wrong and will leave you embarrassed . If you're wearing a suit don't call it black tie – that simple . Talking fast and charismatically doesn't make things right lol

Rent a tux for about $250 with the whole shebang (shirt, shoes, jewelry, etc) and call it a day. Black suits are mehhhhhh….

One mistake that I see that is wrong is that the groom don’t dress up enough. The groom be dressing like the guest. Step up it up groom. Be more flamboyant!
