One can never be old money by just dressing like it. You do you.
People with old money tend to wear whatever they like, not just what's in Vogue. If they have a 30 year old suit they love, they wear it. If they dont like stilletos, they dont wear them. That sweater they wear to garden in won't be thrown out until it has holes everywhere. They make their own rules.
I just want to say that wealth and wealthy does not have an “f” in the word – 🙏- it shows your level of life and education when pronouncing words with “th” in them as an “f” sound. Don’t do it 🤷♀️
This is an excellent comparison. Very clear & thorough. Fashion cycles — loud and bright will be back — cycle in and out and on and on.
Thank you so much l love here like l fall in love amzclothes
I'm in a good mood recently and I met a shop that satisfied me amzclothes
ostentatious not ostentanious (not a word)
I'm recently found out about different types of clothing aesthetics and was drawn to old money aesthetic, so I started researching about it more because I wanted to dress classy like that but I realised that actually I've already been dressing like that (somewhat). I'm indian so I wear indian clothes for formal occasions but otherwise I'm totally into old money, I won't start wearing old money because I want to be perceived as an old money fellow but because I feel like it's so classy and beautiful, because I LIKE IT!
my advice: change makeup and lighting cause you look like a lady boy…..unless your are then its fine
Please stop saying ostentaneous
My blood line is old money
How would this woman know about wealth?
I always look at the pics of the late Princess Diana and Catherine POW. The two of them so pretty but Diana was sooo chic and Catherine no matter what she wears she looks old fashion. In the pass when she was not royal you could see pics of her (CPOW) wearing jeans, tall leather boots and her on hips wide brown leather belt. She looked even sexy (no wonder William’s eyes popped 😂). now she is well dressed but….
Table manners is where one notices it most.
Quiet luxury: minimalism, simplicity, high quality materials of silk, cashmere, leather
Old money: traditions of past clothing, natural materials (similar to quiet luxury)
Just because you dress like someone; you don't become alike. My family has been in land business (not like modern day Real estate) for more than 50 years. People in my region respect us. We don't wear cloths to achieve any certain appearance.
We wear cloths that are comfortable & decent looking; also something that is traditional. It's a culture that has developed over the years.
Not cashmere! It is abusive.
lol @ peope trying to look old money
If anything can rid the Earth of these gaudy logo, designer fashion pieces, im all for it.
although we are very much still in an ongoing recession; you were right and there has been a resurgence of "loud" fashion
Old uses what they inherited , they utilise used items to represent their ancestors.
❤❤😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉
i like your voice! very sweet and elegant.
Ostentatious NOT Ostentaneous
Ostentatious, not Ostentanious!
Love this!
I hate to say it bc it will trigger many, but being lean and slim is the ultimate quiet luxury AND old money statement.
Garish large breast implants are another no no. I myself am quite small (size 2) but have D to DD breasts. This precludes me from wearing many styles, such as turtleneck or cable knit sweaters.
I've wanted a reduction for years but my husband always talks me out of it😂
Having a x brand bag or anything always screams cheap to me, idk why.
Thanks for explained 🙂
I feel like people always fail to understand that the subtlety factor for those that actually have wealth is usually more about actively trying to downplay their wealth so that they don't become walking targets for theft, the paparazzi, etc…
also:🤍
I think she meant to pronounce ostentatious differently…
Mary Kate and Ashley own a brand called The Row it’s a clothing brand are understated but beautiful
