Why Earth will temporarily have a mini-moon for two months
A rare mini-moon, a small asteroid temporarily captured by Earth’s gravity, will briefly orbit the planet for two months. This 33-foot-long object, while billions of years old, was only recently discovered.

So it’s not a mini moon then ? A mini moon by definition would be a small moon compared to ours that gave off moon light and glow and you can see it w your naked eye. That’s an asteroid. But ok
So.. we know our actual Moon affects our tides etc.. maybe this one affects the hurricane situation?

Earth has about 22 moons if you don't count satellites…. Just 1 big one that we can see….. So you have a deficit of 21….. Where did they go?

If you can’t see this mini moon with your naked eye, then it’s not a mini moon it’s basically a nonexistent moon quit being stupid. This doesn’t even fit the definition of what a moon is.
