No combining money period…i used to think that its ok but today theee so called good men will run off to some women with your money….let him get married to his sister…and pls dont marry him ..
Each party should get their own attorney. Draw up a reasonable, equitable plan that both parties are generally happy with. Make sure there is no ambiguity.
If I had to get involved in a second marriage, I would definitely get a prenup.
neither should leave the 401K to the spouse
It's even more complicated when you're planning to remarry in later life and one partner has NO CHILDREN and the other partner has!
At 52 you do need a pre-nup.
Make it fair, but a partnership agreement and pre-nup is the best route. Get an attorney.
Put it in a trust: What if She leaves her money to him, and he turns around and leaves ALL the money to his sister! It, he could remarry and that chick gets it all…. Sister and kids up a creek!!!

He knows his second wife has a rock solid retirement plan, and will have a place to live if she dies before him. She does not NEED the money….his sister NEEDS the money. FFS.
