Hi! In America, there's a restaurant called OutBack Steakhouse. It always makes me laugh (inside) that I do not get a salad fork for my salad. Instead, I get 2 main course forks.
Thank you for these videos. I am also a new subscriber to your Patreon movie club. I love it.
I am always at a loss with what to do with various purses
Uh what is the napkin for? Answer: to protect your formal wear. If a man tucks the napkin inside his collar, what the heck do you think he is doing it for? If he is with other business men or meeting for prospects the men are not going to want their formal wear to get soiled! The napkin within a man’s collar is no different than having a napkin on lap to prevent drops of food getting on you. What’s next should you be telling men not to swing their tie over their shoulder so they won’t accidentally dip it in food? Not everything has to look proper or formal if it is going beyond common sense.
I enjoy your videos so much! They are so helpful, thank you.
Please do glass etiquette

Why wasting that much food. I'm crying, in all your videos you leave so many food, I'm rrally interested in your tips but I can't stand to see food being thrown away, i myself never leave amything on my plate, i just can't
Really good info (knowledge).
What about dessert wines like Port? I have a fondness for it & drink it occasionally 🍷
Thank you for posting this video!
What do you do if you can’t eat a particular dish? For instance, if you are allergic to something or don’t eat something for religious purposes, how do you let the host or hostess know about that?
Alternatively, if you simply don’t eat something and it isn’t for allergy or religious purposes, how would you address that?
19:52 When you break the bread that is shared, you can use the napkin of the bread to hold the side you dont want to eat. That way you dont touch the big piece of bread that is meant to be consumed by other people sitting at the table. But youre eating on your own here, so i guess thats okay.
I wonder why you don't place your cutlery IN the bowl after youre done. Placing them on the edge like that makes them prone to slide off the side of the plate especially when the waiter comes to pick up the bowl/dish. He himself will place them inside the bowl before picking the bowl up and taking it away, no?
Who asks to "break wind" at the table? That must be a joke. Who does that? Go to the bathroom (face of disgust here, lol).
I love your videos, carry on <3
Can you please do a video on how to pair wines?! ❤️
😃 FANTASTIC!…. Unfortunately, especially Here in The USA, Etiquette and Polite Manners have become as rare as Good Credit. Both of the basics were far more customary until the end of the ‘ Baby Boomer ‘ era and traditional family gatherings occurred around dining room tables.. Nowadays, witnessing Others eating in public is like watching a Viking feast.
can someone like my comment to remind me? thatd be splendid, thanks! 😆
Thank you very much for this video. It is very informative.
I learned how to be etiquette and now time to go restaurant 😂
Good vid i always enjoy watching ur videos very calming and usefull, beautiful content from beautiful classy lady. I wanted to mention 37:37 here that if u r a muslim its only okay to eat the food with ur right hand and not the left so most of us use the american way even if its less classy or requires lots of movements or we just precut everything in the plate keep the knife in our left hand to collect the food on the fork then continue the same way
Very nice 😊ยอดเยี่ยมมากค่ะ

You strike me as someone with authentic class that's not just for show. I was actually expecting you to be a lot more pretentious, but I was totally wrong, and I stayed for a lot more of the video than I was expecting. Keep it up!
Thank you Jamila. There was so much wonderful information in your video. It was presented with such grace and beauty.
Sorry not placing my napkin on my chair. What if someone touches my napkin when i’m not there. Lol
Please do
a wine pairing thank you
Where you explain how to put the knife or fork when not in use, I want to ask what if I have a very big ball or plate and the knife or fork is not long enough to stay on the plate or ball ???? How do I place the knife or fork on a bigger plate or ball ????
I was wondering if you could do a video on how to eat Japanese or Chinese food elegantly. 🥢🥋
Hi Jamila, I am just 5' and usually struggle to reach out on the table it's tiring. Any suggestions for that so that I look more elegant and not uncomfortable
This is a précious vidéo !!!!! thank you
The last time I dined in upmarket restaurants with damask and silver and crystal was in the 1970s before Iraq was overthrown. Le Meridien, Baghdad Hotel, Sheraton. Forgotten how to dine now that I am Down Under. When In Rome. …..
I've learned a lot. thank you very much. no wonder the waiters kept coming around asking if I am okay. I would get annoyed. I prolly was miscommunicating… hehe
Please do a separate video for the wine glasses, thank you! ❤
Thank you so much, this video was really useful for me
One time a large group of my friends went to a fancy restaurant and the waiter didnt come take their order for a whole hour. They were discussing this aloud when a kind fellow customer informed them that they should try closing their menu. As soon as they all did, the waiter came to take their order.
How to say politely that I’m going to the bathroom? 😅
Your free videos are better than paid online courses 😂
Excuse me, Ma'am!
~I have a quick Question:
While eating fish and cake you're using fork with left hand. Can we pick fork by right and knife with the left hand?
The reason being it is first of all I'm not easy to eat with left hand and the Second reason is that I'm Muslim and we can't eat with left hand. 🙃
im watching to be a better gentleman and improve the quality of company around me.
Great video! Thanks a lot, Jamila. I feel, I am becoming a better social person because of your content 🙏
Jamila, could you please make a video how to blow the nose properly if this happens, or is it possible to scratch a certain part of the body, for example, the corner of the nose, if I can’t stand it during the meeting in a restaurant I.e.?
Super helpful❤
Thank you vey much for your generous knowledges. Could you please tell how to keep the wrist during the dining, we always arguing with my friend, she said the wrist must be lift and never touch the table and in another source I heard the wrist should be in the table.
As a girl living in an South east asia country, I find this video interesting and informative even though in my country we simply use a pair of chopsticks and a spoon. You're lovely and the way you deliver your message is graceful. Thank you.
Why wouldn’t you put the bread humus on the bread plate instead of the main course plate?
