This list is hard for me, as I lost my dad nine years ago
4 more months, until I have my special dance with my dad, Our Song is on this list! You'll Be In My Heart By Phil Collins 🙂 Also adding a surprise! Putting photos of us from when I was a baby until now!
Um what Happened to Dance with my Father?
Butterfly kisses is what I danced with my dad to. It was in 1998.
I honestly didn't think Cinderella was going to be on this list… I danced with my dad to this song at my wedding. We were both a mess
What about the song daddy's hands by holly Dunn it was my stepdads and my song he passed away a couple years ago and miss him everyday
I'm surprised that "You Can Let Go Now Daddy" by Crystal Shawanda didn't make it on this list, it's an incredible song about a father letting his daughter go at the right moments. I love it myself, and want it played at my wedding.
Tough Little Boys by Gary Allen is my dad's and my song
So, they used a still from’Dance With My Father’ for the thumbnail, but it’s nowhere on the list or even mentioned? 👎 for the clickbait.
I knew “My Little Girl” was the song that I wanted my dad and I to dance to when both my mom and I started tearing up when listening to it when I was searching for a song ❤️
Did you really give James Taylor credit for a Marvin Gaye song? Wow.
The Beatles forever ♾️
Any Beatles song is perfect for any occasion!
Why is 'Dance with my Father" by Luther Vandross the thumbnail if it isnt on the list? It's not even an honorable mention. Feels kinda Clickbaity.
I think that (to an extent) these songs can also be Father/Son, Mother/Son, and Mother/Daughter Songs.
What about “More than anything” from Hazbin Hotel? It’s a father/daughter duet 😊
King of the World by Point of Grace is another good one.
You're So Beautiful to Me – Joe Cocker
I loved her first by Heartland better be on this list just saying
Take good care of my baby. Please don't ever make her blue and if you should discover that you don't really love her, send my baby back home to me.
Sunrise 🌅 Sunset 🌇
so thought my girl was number 1 in my book but listening to the rest blew me away of how sweet and melancholy works
Wind Beneath My Wings is a tribute to a dead person not for a father/daughter dance
Some of my favorites are: Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman, Father and Daughter by Paul Simon, and My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. Each one makes me cry now because my father died in 2016. He loved these songs, too. He wasn't the most vocal about how much he loved my brother and me, but he communicated with words. He wrote letters to me when I was first born(think Dear Theodosia in Hamilton). I miss him daily.
I HATE Butterfly Kisses! I knew that would be number 1. Camilla Cabello First Man is lovely. I hope it's on my daughter's list when her day comes.
"Cinderella" was the song I danced to with my father at my wedding almost 7 years ago. My dad and I loved that song when I was growing up and the only thing I planned for my wedding as a kid was dancing to that song with my dad, especially since we did go to dad-daughter dances. There wasn't a dry eye between the two of us.
My two daughters I chose Daddy Dance with Me by Krystal Keith… and My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. Thank you for this list.
The man who loves you the most. Zac brown band
The only one I know, Nat king Cole because of his career singing song in spanish
Like my father by Jax!
