Do you find 1.2 is much better than 1.4? Especially when you have to capture fast moving objects (kids for example)?

what cannon camera do you shoot with. It looks big??

if you don't go lower than f2.2, why buy 1.2??? Get a 1.4 or 1.8. I'm quite sure they will perform the same.

Yeah compared to the new RF 50 mm F1.2 this lens is mush city wide open…She even says she doesn’t want it to be too soft which is why she states she shoots at F2.2

Don’t have this lens… but I understand what you mean. Looks like a perfect lens.

wow! that group picture at 1:21 how do you get everyone's faces to look so clear and sharp when the aperture is only f2.8

Reply
@blueghost8057 6 October 2024 - 8:04 pm

How did you manage to get everyone in focus at 2:21 with f5.6 aperture? I tried this with 35mm and it didn't work well.

Nice lens, but if I had a lens like that, I'm gonna push it to 1.2 no matter what just to get my money's worth.

There are also many Wedding photographers that love the Canon 35mm f1.4 and 24-105mm f4L, what are your opinions on those lenses?

Reply
@3-piece129 6 October 2024 - 8:04 pm

Cute boots – what size are they? Liked how they look at 1:00… like the Keebler Elves'. How do you stay so slim… i think I'd be eating too much at all the receptions and probably miss all the important shots. Oh, and I guess nice work… lol.

What about 50mm 1.8 would that be a good lens

Reply
@kainatarif_ 6 October 2024 - 8:04 pm

Hi, I'm alone gonna shoot a wedding in few days so should I go with 50mm only? I neither have a second shooter nor extra camera body and I love this lens easy to carry and good result. I'll be shooting portraits and groups so is it okay to with one lens and shoot whole event? Pls reply!

Reply
@appleblows1 6 October 2024 - 8:04 pm

no lens hood at 2:23. seriously, is that a technique/style?

Reply
@vivektudu6248 6 October 2024 - 8:04 pm

Which lens do you use to shoot group pics in Weddings. I thing 50mm and 85mm can be used only for portrait shots because if I shoot bride and groom with these even if my F- stop is 2 or lower, both the subject doesn't end up crisp or in focus.

By the way, I am NIKON 🙂

Reply
@RAMSEYSPENCER 6 October 2024 - 8:04 pm

do you know dear there is also NIKON shooters out there .. not to mention sony and fuji … so would be great to tell the other photographers who dont shoot CANON what other lenses that can u use as well as you love and feel its best .. especially you are generalizing your video fro wedding photographerS …. so speak everybody language in a way that all brands can related together .. cause again .. not everyone have your canon lens dear .. they have Nikon and fuji and sony ….. as I mention earlier … cheers

I have a Canon 5DSR and I don´t buy this lens ( yet) because I´m afraid the 50 megapixels don´t be sharpen like my other lenses, Sigma ART 25-35 and 85.
