Why does this feel like it could fit in a dress to inpress meme?
Lmfao this is some rigid shit. The homies can wear what they are comfortable in to my events
I think I came out of this more confused
Could you explain? Because some of those, I couldn't see the precise distinction between black tie or not. Obviously women's dress is more ambiguous. Explain the specifics.
So essentially- simple, classy, and little to no texture and no patterns.
not all weddings are black tie events though. 🤷🏾♀️
I really liked the part where you explained the difference between what is and isn't black tie
See i cant do this..if im having a wedding WEAR WHATEVER U WANT idc if its a dress, pj’s, costume..whatever
I once saw a guy in a red velvet tux talking to a guy in a hawaiian shirt. Then a third guy showed up in overalls.
This is why I never learned dress codes. That, and even all the weddings ive been to were "sunday best" events
girl i dont get it
Bruh none of these women are wearing ties…
Let PPL wear what they want to wear !
If I ever get married I'll do a "outdo the brides" theme
Why shouldn’t that one not be worn to a wedding? And why is that low v neck salmon one allowed? The tip in the comment says nothing too low on top
From what I can tell here, a simple jewel toned dress is a good guess for a black tie wedding
Wtf is black tie ?😂😅
Ooh I thought black tie had to cover the shoulders
Thank you for explaining why each item was and wasn’t black tie. Great
Dress like Blair, not Serena!
Girl, how you goimg to have a whole microphone and i still cant hear you 😂 speak up
So floor legnth, elegant, solid color, not flashy or revealing
My approach is that I see no one, almost ever. So when you invite me to a party or a wedding, and I show up in PJs, you’re more surprised I showed up than upset at what I’m wearing
Too fast
girl, nobody cares. wear what you want
Yea I just ask the bride or groom. Better both
Basic black tie for women wearing a dress- floor length, no slit, more traditional black tie is darker colors but modern can be darker colors or jewel tones. Wedding black tie is floor length, no slit, colors are fine but avoid pastels and white until told by the couple otherwise. Most of these dresses are okay for a wedding but not fitting the black tie theme she is ralking about.
You're not saying why it is or isn't black tie. Do you understand dress code enough to articulate it to us?
Thank you because I’m one is was always confused with this
Genuinely who gives af tho, let people wear what they're comfortable in
My solution is not going to a wedding at all,
Can you please do beach wedding guest inspo please 🙏🏽
Googling “wedding dress codes explained” is sooo helpful. My understanding is that black tie is gowns/dresses, covering the ankles, and formal wear.
That one off the shoulder black velvet is absolutely Black Tie
This is absolutely exhausting to think about. Even as someone who likes fancy dresses i think i will just wear a suit so i can fit the words
I always thought black tie just meant classy
I’m so confused…instead of showing pictures could you explain it? Like if you should wear this silhouette or another and so on?
I think everyone should normalize giving examples of dress codes in their wedding invitations cause it was so helpful especially for people who have never attended a wedding before like me and had no idea what to wear (I ended up wearing something nice that was appropriate for the occasion but it was still so confusing)
This feels more like a riddle than helpful at all
i never heard of something called black tie
