Great Video !! As a bridal makeupartist and Licensed esthetician I always like to tell my brides not to do anything sooner than two weeks before the wedding 😬 Especially nothing drastic.!! I am just getting into a solo suite as a solo esthetician, and want to market myself and focus on helping brides setup a good skin care routine with facials appointments way before their wedding! So they have hydrated healthy skin, so their make up does look amazing with amazing skin 🤍

Video suggestion : a video about careers in the skincare/beauty, especially cosmetic formulation industry, maybe even bringing in guests who can tell us more about these careers?

Love your channel

I didn’t exactly have a WEDDING wedding, I had a photo wedding. The only problem I had was morning sickness. I was pregnant at the time and nobody knew, plus it was during winter and photos were mostly taken outside. It was horrible. I was dying. 😅🤣

Cassandra could you have found a vegan wedding dress person. This person has no respect for animals. She also promotes dresses made out of silk. Ugh 😢

Re the allergic reaction story, it was probably to fragrance in a product or products. Unfortunately, most skin care and makeup products are heavily scented. With makeup, if you're applying several different scented products, with some of them layered on top of each other, there's a good chance of a reaction.

This is good advice in preparation for any special event, and I'll keep it in mind. I think what I'd do with my dry, sensitive skin is, stop using BHA, AHA, and retinol for a week beforehand. Just cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and sunscreen. And no new products.

It's interesting to hear what all people do in the way of beauty prep for a wedding. I'm sure that when my mom got married in the late 50s, she did no such things. I never thought to ask her, but I doubt she even had a manicure. Maybe a haircut. But, she was an 18 year old college student living at home, and my grandparents definitely weren't wealthy.

I don't understand. Don't they make a "trying on" make-up appointment in advance? I never did wedding make-up without seeing the bride before making sure she isn't reacting to any of the products I'm using and if she likes the shade and make-up style. It's different when someone else is applying it, no matter how well done, you may feel strange and don't like it. My personal advice in general. Don't stress out too much about the wedding day. I had a small casual wedding, and it was wonderful…you should enjoy it and don't constantly worry about your surroundings. 😉

I got married on Wednesday. 2 weeks beforehand I purchased those Garnier microfibre pads that you can use to remove make-up etc with micellar water, thinking that'd be a great eco friendly way to remove make up and maybe apply products like my toner.

Idk wtf those pads did to me, but it looked like I'd received a severe sunburn after using them. I spoke to a friend and she mentioned they can be extremely drying, so that must have been it, but holy hell it was awful. Managed to clear everything up by going back to basics and using aloe vera, but that scared the shit out of me

Hey can you Suggested more products about under eye pigmentation because I use the ordinary caffeine salutation and that's not work so good for me 🙂

I’m a bridal makeup artist and I always tell my clients during the trial that if they find themselves breaking out as their wedding approaches, please DO NOT pick. Resist the temptation no matter how big or small the breakout is. We can cover redness. But scabs will not hold makeup. So it can not be covered. Or what little coverage we manage won’t last and just doesn’t look good. No one will notice a bump when it matches the surrounding skin and your eyes and hair and dress look amazing. So please don’t pick.

I can’t tell my own horror stories or lessons because they haven’t happened yet but I can tell some stories and lessons from friends and family members
-always have the makeup products you use as a back up when a MUA is doing your makeup, you don’t know if they don’t have there shade or if the products they use may have an unforeseen allergin in them
-don’t try anything new with the food especially if you don’t know if you or guest is allergic (had to call an ambulance at my friends wedding because that’s when we found out 4 guest were allergic to pineapple because the guest didn’t know and they switched food up last minute to try something new)
-Don’t invite people you and the other person tying the knot both don’t like unless the person is really f^cking important because that’s how you end up with unsuspecting but totally predictable drama
-if the wedding is child free make sure everyone that has a kid has accommodations for the kid for the day, weather that’s hiring a group sitter or making sure they hired a sitter before hand (also don’t bend the rules because the child is a so called Rainbow baby, this is guaranteed to start a large fight and fast)
-never make any exceptions to the rules for anyone, this will indeed start fights at the wedding or after the wedding
