Bride's father turns backyard of childhood home into wedding venue
A father spent nearly a year planning for his daughter’s wedding day by preparing their home in Canada as the bride’s dream wedding venue. NBC News’ Kate Snow spoke to the father and daughter about the creative process and what the final product meant to them.

Wow. When I was planning a wedding, my father told me he would contribute no more than $1500, and that would be the gift. When his wife (number 5) pushed him on it, he laughed out loud, and said, “It’s not like she’s 23!” What is it like, to have a father whom actually loves you?
