Wedding services must be paid in advance. Sucks when something disrupts the service whether and act of God or unethical people.
There are more people skipping out of paying after the fact than bad wedding businesses taking peoples money.
Its a 2way street.

Surprised to hear this. Failure by an officiant to file these Papers is a criminal offense in Iowa. I've officiated in Indiana and do not remember any laws like this there, but it's difficult to believe that anyone who does this for a living would fail so horribly – barring exigent circumstances like a heart attack.
