Destination Weddings 101 – What Agents Need to Know

Is not as scary as it’s explained here honestly. I’ve been doing this for over 5 yrs, started from 0, new-by definitely can do it no probs. The connection is the one thing to be focus about, make sure that the bride is happy. The resort take care of everything at destinations, all agent have to do is help the bride to choose their cake, flowers, menu (which all come in the brochures). As flights, all done by the tour operators. All we hv to do as agent is to make sure the list of guests are correct, names and date of births r as written on the passports. As a middle person, all we do was transfer information to the brides and grooms. I am doing it as part time (I have a full time job), and got quite a lot bookings a year. Put 2-4 hrs everyday and more in weekends. Anyone who r passionate with what they do, can really be a wedding specialist. The key is tracking & tracking – connection – communication and professionalism! Hope this help for those who r new in travel industry! You can do this!!!
