We cut my daughters' wedding flower costs by two-thirds. In Houston, we were able to to use the flower market that is just north of the med center. Â This open air, 24 hr/day district had all the same arrangement books you see in flower shops. Their work was top notch. The flowers were fresh and ready on time. I chose to pick the flowers up myself to save even more. If your choices are: settle for cheap arrangements; go into debt; or buy wisely; the flower market makes sense. Â There is nothing wrong with supporting local businesses, but some businesses disappear because their business model is geared for the 1950s. Â BTW, the flowers were beautiful and we did not have to settle for cheap looking arrangements.
