Yeah, didn't work for me at all. I have medium length hair with layers, and the layers stuck out all over the place. Bummer.

Looks great!! But I don't think this is really good for medium hair. My hair goes a couple inches past my shoulders but I couldn't get the "pigtails" tucked through the topsy tail.

THANK YOU!!! I am hopeless with hairstyles and I'm going to a wedding tomorrow. Sooo many videos are just too hard and only suitable for long hair with no layers. I have medium length hair but a lot of layers, and I have practiced this hairstyle twice now and both times I have successfully managed this updo!
I did it and it looked crazy. I have medium thickness, long straight hair. I need to master something by next weekend- going to keep practicing every day!
