Hey phil I don't wanna ruin anything, just make sure your friend does his due diligence when it comes to protecting himself. Marriage is a cool idea, worked very well in the past when women couldn't work and men had to bring home the dough. This isn't a love contract it is a financial one. divorce rate is at 50%. Again just saying due to the times that we are in now, promiscuity is through the roof, for both females and males. I can't say how bad males are doing, I only looked up the female statistics, you should be able to find a study out there indicating a 50% chance married women or women in a relationship have men on the back burner.

This is the reality of today, it's too easy to sneak around online. divorce rate is a flip of the coin too, or higher haven't checked recently. 80% of the time it's initiated by women(average, different demographics fluctuate) and 80% of the time they usually come out the "winner" in the proceedings…

I have a friend who recently lost the loyalty of his wife, she's out and about screwing around, riding the cock carousel, after 10 years of him taking care of her. I knew all about how much he put into her, how much money went her way. Tens of thousands (10 years.. maybe even over 100 or close to it)of dollars have been wasted, he'll be having to pay child support which thankfully is only 1/3rd of his pay. They win alimony quite often, child custody, they can request adjustments to child support payments, increasing them. She is also getting the house and a vehicle he paid for too I believe. He has two sons, one with williams disease, it's a nightmare, he's sorta in limbo while this transition's taking place, loss of words. Completely betrayed… and the courts allow her pay off to top it off.

There are many men out there who were blind sided by no fault divorce proceedings, their paychecks garnished to the point they could barely sustain a decent home or even have money to take their kids out on the days they get to see them. These guys usually lose all custody over time and eventually kill themselves due to the entrapment.

Sorry for the book, but it's the reality of today. I've seen many good men become nothing but a shadow of who they were or give up and off themselves. The suicide rate of divorced men is atrocious.
