Hello
I currently have a pest control company which does my perimeter (shield) for about 55 dollars per month. I recently bought a backpack gasoline sprayer for mosquitoes. Can I use this product with my sprayer and get the same results I am already paying a professional for?

It’s not only about spending your hard-earned money on it when you could have just spent it on something else. A home that’s overridden with pests is not only aggravating. It’s also a legitimate health risk.

How do you spray when you have a home garden? Do you just not spray near the garden?

I'm not really into lawn and garden. Just here for Pest Control. I love your video format, editing, and dialogue. If this is unscripted, then kudos to you for having great speech habits and clear and concise pronunciation of the English language. You sir are a scholar.

How safe is DIY pest control? I've heard that it can be dangerous to one's health?

Hi Allyn – I'm needing some pesticide for my lawn. There are too many bugs in the grass where my kids play. Do you recommend liquid pesticide or granular? And do you recommend a specific product? TIA

Thoughts on organic “natural” pest control either pro or diy?

Another good one from LCN! I was just thinking to myself the other week that I'm tired of handing a company $70 a quarter for pest control, and like magic here you are. Went to your other video and clicked the affiliate link to get the Temprid FX though you. It's down to $54 these days. Current promo code for $5 off is "givemea5" at domyown's site. Thanks again for the timely video!

Hey Allyn, A bit off topic and not at all related to this video, I’m only commenting here as it is your most recent. Have you ever heard of the term “looping” in St Aug with grass stolons? I’m having this issue for the 1st time and would like some advice on how to handle it. Any help or even perhaps a small video about it would be greatly appreciated. Unless it was quite some time ago, I don’t believe you have posted anything about this. Let me know and thanks in advance.. 👍🏼🌱

It's not about what product you use it's about where and how you use it
You could do a crack and crevice treatment with something super cheap like boric acid dust or delta dust and get much better results.
If you are only doing an application twice a year you should be using a product like termidor or the like temprid will only work for 60 days outdoors at best

Funny how you push your book for so much money and use a picture showing some really nice spiral bound book. But in the end you just send a crappy computer file.

I live in central Floriduh and you are the best channel out there for St Augustine grass. Really appreciate the thoroughness of a few videos I have already seen to help remedy or provide a proactive approach on lawn care. Awesome and thank you!

It doesn't really matter if it's Pro or DIY.
The real test and skill is in the application and attention to detail.
Don't leave people or pet food out.

Any experience using Demand CS? I know it has different active ingredients than those products. I put it down a month ago and so far have had decent success.

Imidacloprid was reclassified as a restricted use pesticide in CT a year ago so its unavailable in our area unless you file with DEP, pay a fee around $200 and provide notice to all abutting properties. Hopefully I can find something that works. Great info and much appreciated!

I'd add with pro/diy price consideration is storage life. What is the expiration for the pro? Will you use all of the pro before it expires?

@PLoveday 5 October 2024 - 10:45 pm

They sell the regular Bayer insecticide in concentrate at my local Lowes so I know its still made, perhaps was just out of stock when you bought it.

Thank you for mentioning the storage, especially away from children. Looking at your setup, I see you are storage of a multitude of products out in the open within reach of a child. I would hate to see a family or friends child get hurt on a visit to your home that could be avoided by simply putting the stuff in a lockable tote.
