Speak with your girl about the budget if she is a supportive person she will be able to help out. Good luck

Holy cow. I was gonna do a week long cruise ship wedding. For an estimated 3k including tickets and shore excursions. Everyone has a phone/camera. Everyone does what they want and we do a couple dinners as a party.

We had 22 guests at our wedding, sorry do not know how much my parents spent on the reception, but afterr 52 years we are still going strong, parents long gone. I would rather spent the money on the deposit on the house than on a wedding.

We had 8 people at our court house wedding and 40 people at the reception. That’s how we wanted it.

We did a wedding budget, because that actually means you’re being accountable for what is going on with this money.

Ours was under $4000 and we didn’t want to put ourselves and put our parents in debt.

We have Thanksgiving here at my place back in woods overlooking river. We surprised everyone by getting married on that day. Food was here in abundance! All we did was buy 20 bottles of champagne. Brother got ordained online. It was a beautiful day, out on the deck by river. A bald eagle flew down river as we were getting married. ❤🎉

We divided up the costs between the bride and groom , her parents (us) and his parents. We paid the basics to get the job done, the beautiful local hall for 120, a local caterer, the pastor ( uncle of couple), and decorations that we grew ( flowers) or made and put up ourselves. The couple paid for or organized wine , clothing, music. Grooms family paid for other alcohol. We had a wonderful wedding in a beautiful place and everyone had a lot of fun. Way under the average price, and way more fun. Couple still together , with kids and great in-laws.

My wife and I were out $12,000 for our wedding and honey moon. People were very generous and we made about 5,000 from gifts which went back in our bank so we were out $7,000 for our wedding and everything.

the question you should be asking is how much will the divorce cost?

Our wedding cost approximately $5,000 and that was almost 50 years ago next year. My dress was $700. He rented a suit with the best man. My maid of honor's mother made her dress. We got married in my mother's living room by the man who baptized me. The church we went to was taken that day and the bride wasn't sharing. Her wedding, I was told, was about $30,000. But we're going to have 50 years and she was divorced within five. It's not the wedding. It's the marriage. Never go to bed angry. Never lie to each other. If you've lied, get it out now. The other will find out. And don't sweat the small stuff. It's all small stuff. ❤

I bought a white event tent for $600, thirty hay bales and a trellis and everyone brought their best dish like a good southern family does and we danced, and drank, and partied the night away. Less than a $1000 and everyone had a great time.

Our wedding was 5k and we had 80 guests, ceremony and reception with leftover food and drink. Everyone had an amazing time, I wouldn’t change a thing 🙂 it’s possible folks!
