You all talk at the same time. So unprofessional. Shut your mouth and let people understand. Annoying voices 😡

I think a gift is a gift! When opening cards with money/checks SHUT YOUR MOUTH about the amount. If your nosy family must know tell them way later!!! Shit a gift is a gift regardless of how elaborate one chooses their wedding to be. True, most don't want to be cheap. However, some aunties could be 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫
I give no matter who it is $100 cash plus a useful item that they definitely will use!!!!!!!
That's not a golden rule. I don't give a hoot about the 21 century and the dumb "new" beliefs/STYLE – I still stand by a gift is gift no matter the cost. No one gets married for gifts. Duh, if it's about getting money for gifts ……. have a civil wedding and pocket the money you would spend at the hotel SAVE your 30k to 50k and use that for a down payment to your new house – that's using your brains. Have an intimate small dinner with only a few friends and family members. That's a saving! People who really care and have a relationship with the couple. The wedding dress, don't even get me started. Brag all you want that it cost THOUSANDS of $$$$ because it's worn for a few hours and then it gets boxed and into the attic or storage – maybe deep in the closet out of sight. You might open up either when your spring cleaning or moving out. Maybe, it gets opened by your adult kids because now the bride is old and passed away. Guess where that dress goes …… to the Salvation Army 🙄

This is just superb, I have been researching "does the maid of honor have to give a gift?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across – Senyatt Acclaimed Smasher – (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for learning how to do an amazing maid of honor speech without the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my colleague got great results with it.
