I live in Ohio. Where can I find a coordinator like what’s the best places to search for one online?

It's a party, not some rocket launch.😢

In an informal wedding, if your dad or anyone else is walking you down the aisle, they can cue you! No one cares if they see your dad before the exact moment, he can stand where he can see the ceremony AND you and take your hand when it’s time.

I gotta rewatch this and take notes 😮- with our budget- you said it- we can’t afford a coordinator. I don’t mind doing it but at the same time I know we can do it ❤

So this isn’t really a video on how to coordinate without a coordinated….it’s more is a click bait title to direct people to buy your course, which by the way I found for free on another channel and they made it pretty simple.

I got some quotes for a coordinator that ranged from $900 to $1600 in Canada. I'm getting married February 2023. Not exactly a popular time for weddings, so I was hoping to get a decent discount. I didn't. I could scrams up the money, but it's a bit of a painful idea.

My sister-in-law agreed to be the coordinator. I intend to be as organized as possible. I'm a small business owner, so my staff are going to be paid to tear down the hall the next day. My guess list is 48 to 50 people, so not too large. I'm also using wedding wire, which allows me to stay in communication with all of my guests before the wedding. I'm going to probably do a Q & A message before the wedding. It will explain parking, order of events and possibly the menu. I figure if they know what the buffet is serving before the wedding, their will be less people standing in line trying to figure out what is what. I don't want to slow down that process.

I'm also going to print out the itinerary and order of events for my sister-in-law and all of the vendors.

Thank you so much for your positivity and encouraging videos balanced with reality. As a bride who is planning an almost completely DIY wedding, these video (And the master plan – which I signed up for! Woohoo) have been a life saver.

For my daughters wedding we had a coordinator who came with the venue. She was wonderful getting us connected with food and flowers, etc… She was there the day before for set up and the day of but I had people continually coming up to me for direction and to answer questions. I had just had a fall the day before and broke a rib and it was a lot to be the mother of the bride, with my ribs wrapped and in pain when I moved, and then having people also expecting me to have all the answers.

We thought we didn't have the money (we're quoted $1100+), managed to find someone who does setup and teardown of ceremonies and receptions who is trying to branch out and is doing this service for us for $250 and the only reason it's that amount is because it's a midweek wedding and she needs to take the day off work. Beyond thrilled that we have someone who is going to be there to support us on our big day, and Jamie, I've sent her your channel to watch and get inspired =)

I love All Seated! We have a venue coordinator, but are responsible for our own setup etc, so I'm making basically a "Wedding Guidebook" binder that I can just hand off to anyone at the venue so they know how I want everything set up, who's sitting where, etc.

Great, helpful video. Where I live it's not typical or really heard of to have a coordinator, so the description you gave helps me understand what I need to take care of. Here it's usually between the couple, venue owners, DJ (that basically runs the party quite often) and… bridesmaid/groomsman (we usually have just one per spouse)

Yay! I getting in 4-6 month time. We are still planning and we do not have coordinator. My guests are below 20 but still freaks me out with a lot of things that has to be done 🙈 wish me luck!

Do I need a coordinator, if we are not doing grand entrance, speeches, cake cup, dances? We only really need it for decor(I have like 10-15 centrepieces and maybe numbers for the tables, we don't know yet, the card box and a couple signs) and maybe pictures, should I get one only for that? I assume the price would change since the coordinator won't have too much to coordinate. The ceremony and venue are in the same restaurant and they provide everything too so I have no vendors. Only photographer and restaurant. We are doing Spotify too so no DJ. And the bridal party are 4 people in total so hahahah

I've been a wedding coördinator twice for good friends (ended up to be 2 weddings in the same week 🤪). They both were wonderful but sooo exhausting! I can't even tell you how much time it took. In the wedding week, I took up 5 holiday days.
Excel was my best friend. My tips:

Being prepared on the day itself was the most important for me.
I had two folders with all the wedding details for the day, so everyone could look up things when I was busy. Even order of wedding pictures.
Photoframes on side tables with the planning, table setting, etc. helped a lot as well.

My wedding is going to be at my mom's. I'm 42. It is my first wedding. She and I are obsessively organized. Since it is at her home, we've been able to organize and store all items there. We've done a few mock setups. We have invited 33 people. Fingers crossed we pull it off!! It is in 25 days! EEK!!

My fiance laughs at me but I have 3 organized binders for this wedding. One for all contracts and payment records. One for all the visuals and one for day of that will have all the information in one spot.

Jamie, when we do get engaged, when should we start to hire a coordinator when we aren’t hiring a wedding planner? Is it traditional to hire a planner that will also coordinate the wedding?

Just watched your Wedding Guest video from 2018, and I have one quick question that I wish was covered: what is the solution if you're friends with a couple, but they are no longer a couple… I'm trying to anticipate and avoid the awkward situation (especially with +1's) and don't want to put anyone in a bad situation, but absolutely love both of them, so we'd like to see them at the wedding. I'm torn.

I just attended a small wedding at the beginning of May 2021. There was no coordinator or timeline and the bride was super stressed during the reception. Her MOH had to tell the DJ she was about to make her MOH speech and bride did not set up a timeline to do father/bride dance, bouquet toss, garters toss so they never happened. I highly encourage anyone to have at least a timeline if these kinds of traditions are important to you!
