My fiancé is struggling to narrow his list of friends he wants to invite. He thinks I’m being unreasonable. It feels like it’s his high school reunion. I’m an introvert so I only have 2 friends, I had friend betrayals in 2020 so I don’t have a lot left.
• 4 of his friends he wants to invite their parents. Obvious to cut out the parents right? I don’t know them nor do we see them. They wouldn’t know anybody at the wedding. They’re not an integral part in our relationship.
• He wants to invite his professor from college, and professor’s wife. They wouldn’t know anybody at the wedding. His professor was integral in college, but not in our relationship.
• He’s inviting 2 of his brother’s friends and 2 of their kids whom I don’t know, solely for ‘security’ because one is a cop??
• 10 friends he’s inviting whom he hasn’t spoken to in a while, but wants to invite them because they’re his childhood friends. They haven’t been an integral part of our relationship.
Love the channel. I am glad there are planners that focus on realistic weddings for the average person rather than the 1 percent. Much more challenging to plan a wedding on a realistic budget.
