You say you do laundry every 4 to 5 days. How and where? If we do not always do Airbnb's, our searches for laundromats seem small or non existent. We got spoiled visiting NZ because the apartment hotels with w/d in the apartment were easily found.

It looks like the MeteoSwiss weather app does not provide any information in English. I cannot click on a discussion and change it to English. Any suggestions? I have an iPhone.

Thanks for the super helpful recs! Just wondering, for a rainy trip, what kind of shoe do you recommend? (Do I need wellies? Kinda worried about sloshing and slipping around in my hiking shoes…)

Do you know if Swiss airlines is strict on weight of carry on? It says 17lbs online but wasn’t sure if they always weigh it or not?

Some great advice here, and I really must look at packing cubes!

When I worked at Kuoni, SBB used to provide a service where your luggage would be taken straight off the plane and taken directly to your hotel (usually a few hours after you got there) – it would then be taken the morning of the departure and it would be in the hold of your plane. Does this service still happen? It was a lifesaver with my aunt!

What size suitcase do you recommend for Swiss trains? I know we have to carry them ourselves, but am also concerned about space on the trains.

Enjoying your guys videos before my own trip to the alps. Few questions if you get a chance to read I appreciate it.

I have the away bigger carry on, have you had any problem with the smaller plans not being able to fit in overhead bin? For ex a city hopper cdg to zrh.

Would the away bigger carry on plus a 30L backpack be enough for about 12 days through the alps? I am going in the first two weeks of September. Primarily going to be hiking, is a down sweater or bigger jacket necessary or is a fleece sufficient?

Hi there. I love your packing tips. I am taking many notes. We are planning our month long stay in Switzerland. I have been trying to find an Air BnB. In one of you videos you got a 39% discount for booking for 30 days. I haven't been able to find a host that offers that type of discount. Do you know if AirBnb still does this?
Thanks do much.

So excited! I’m going with my wife in April! We purchased your 7 day guide to help with our planning in the jungfrau region! (Sad so many things are closed when we visit 😣) We are coming in from Paris, what would you guys recommend the best route to arrive in Interlaken? Train? Plane? Thank you for all your great content!

Spot on recommendations as usual! Thanks for the tip about Breezeo laundry sheets–had never heard of them until you mentioned them last year. Took them on my month long trip last September and LOVED them. They did a great job of cleaning our clothes, both in the washing machines when we had them and in the sink in hotels. I'm down to just two pair of shoes on a trip. My Oboz for walking/hiking/rainy days and very good walking sandal for summer. I will be taking my first winter trip to Switzerland this year and will switch out my shoes for that, of course! I took advantage of winter sales and purchased several pair of merino wool socks (hiking and dress) for the upcoming December trip–I've tested them out and they're wonderful! One more thing–as Jana & Brett suggested, a good waterproof raincoat (and I'll add waterproof walking shoes) are worth their weight in gold. The raincoat is indeed, multi purpose.

I always buy the sun protection and shower gel in Switzerland. In that way i keep more space for other stuff.

Any downsides to using a 40-55L backpack instead of a carry on suitcase? Thought being it would be easier to carry from destination to destination, instead of dragging a suitcase around. Trying to consider train theft as well and ease of securing. Thank you!

I may have missed it. But do we need a type j plug adapter? For charging phones, power banks and cameras? I know my trip to the UK, my adapter was useless because USB ports were literally everywhere. Is this the same in Switzerland?
