How to Photograph a Wedding (Groom Prep Tutorial)

One of my favorite parts of photographing a wedding day is the morning of the wedding with the groom getting ready for the wedding. Photographing the groom getting ready in the morning is such a fun time, with tons of photo opportunities. Learning how to photograph a wedding takes a lot of time…

Great video, thanks for sharing
Can I ask if you are shooting in aperture priority with Auto ISO (using a maximum value)
Thanks

Do your second shooters photograph the preparations? In Hungary I do alone the whole day and it is very very exhausting. (12-14 working hours in a day). In the last few years I can barely handle the summer heatwaves which are often above 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit). Do you have any tips to make a wedding day easier to survive?

Great video. I’ve been 2nd shooting weddings for 7 years and I love watching other photographers work the room. It’s a great way to brush up my techniques a couple of days before a wedding.

Sorry Vanessa… you told me once before, but I can’t find it. What strap is it you use?

Excellent video! At some point, I'm going to get dragged into photographing the groom getting ready at a wedding. This video will be super helpful when that time comes.

I admire you, I sometimes feel R35 1.8 is a little heavy. Use my Chinese proverb: don't use your hobbies to measure other people's careers.

You outsourced some photos to a third-party editor. Is that to save time? Good subject for a future vid.

Thanks for showing us this and your workflow. I'm not so sure about dark and moody for a wedding especially for groom pictures as men always joke about marriage being the end of their life. From the bride's perspective that's not something I would like to see for the groom's images, lol. Just my personal opinion 🙂
