How to Prepare for Your Wedding Menu Tasting

Question: Do I have to tip the servers after our wedding venue tasting?

Hors'd'ouvres: range from crackers and cheese, veggies and fruit, pickles/olives to breaded cheese skewers, maybe punch throughout or with dessert (ginger ale, cranberry juice, berries commonly), for expensive a once in a while choice might include champagne.
On the table: bottle of white and red dinner wine, pitcher of water, bread basket,butter, seasonings,etc.
1# Soup:creme (of cheese, asparagus, broccoli etc.) (possibly french influence for elete selection).
Tomato:such as minestrone, or creme herbed/spice.
Chicken noodle soup, central European background.Usually one of the above.
2# Salad: lettuce and tomato, mixed veggies with Italian olive oil dressing on side,or Greek style feta and olives.Have had mixed greens with edible flower petals; nuts, fruit, fruity dressings at some clubs.
3# Penne: pasta with sauce,meat or vegetarian, parmesan on the side.Not every single wedding has this,but commonly standard Windsor fare even with non Italians.
4# Main course:
Beef:roast or steaks
Chicken: stuffed, roasted/baked
bread crumb coated.
Have had vegetarian stuffed
phyllo strudel option at plated
dinner.
Cabbage rolls,(Serbian, Croatian,
Yugoslavian background/clubs).
Potatoes: mashed, baked, or
roast oven fried/wedges (spiced)
Veggies: green beans, mixed veg
a.k.a. broc.caul.carrots, peppers
with sauce,corn.
Sometimes from Portuguese
catering services ,rice with sauce.
5# Dessert: sorbet, or ice cream.
Have had molded cheesecakes.
Usually plated regardless of
overall serving style.
Coffee served at the table.
Ethnic dessert buffet: grandmas and aunties, friends love bringing: Signature recipes, dobosh torte, metre cake, coconut rum balls(truffles), apricot shaped cookies, baklava, cream baskets, strudel,layered chocolate wafer squares etc.A cute one is chocolate dipped tux style strawberries,and an elegant personal fav is Choc fountain 😄. Sparkling mineral water also an ethnic favorite.
Open bar is optional.
These are the common typical menu items for our area.Under normal situations most people opt for this.
Ethnic influences are (french), Italian (Leamington is tomato capital of Canada 😄), Greek, Yougoslavian, and sometimes Lebanese ,and Portuguese.Italian clubs are popular if budget works. Family style dining top choice, buffet also able to let people take what they want.Have experienced plated couple of times at more golf type clubs.Food simply is expected at celebratory events for us.
