Bad advice .
Liquidate stock gradually.
Sell current primary resident home. – believe you dont pay taxes on profit > 250k for single person and >500k for couple.

Move to one of the other homes.

At this point need to free cash. While minimizing taxes. And since his not working .. and stocks and bonds are not in retirement,.. he could liquidate those assets and pay significantly less taxes. I’ll give you 2 years breathing room. (She said he has 300-400k in those asssts) , and that’s it.

Best way to save on taxes . Their

If Dave was here, he’d explain to this woman how she messed up, give a nice lesson for the future. Instead these 2 clowns are trying to move money around to cover up the mess.
What happens the next time when she decides to go into more debts, just because she NEEDED that Range Rover?

Rich lady cries about the over 6 figure party she threw for herself. So sad. What a tragedy.

Stupidest advice ever. Pay down the low interest school loans first? And liquidate the cash flow positive property (instead of the stocks) to do it? INSANE

Dude, a 100 day world cruise is like stating 16-23 grand. I’d much rather do a super honeymoon than this!

I'm guessing that she spent $100k on the wedding and hid a lot of it. The husband seems to have been the saver type. She should have saved some for the divorce.

Hopefully he got a pre-nup.

They had to show their guests they make money. They had to uphold their image on the wedding too.

My husband and I got married for under 10k and made all that money back from cash gifts from the guests. Starting married life together after breaking even on the wedding is a great feeling!

My wedding cost $2500 a huge bulk of this was because of the food and flowers. My family graciously paid for those 2 large items. I had a church wedding that we attended at that time. So I didn't pay much for the church or the fellowship hall. My mother in law made the cake for free, my dress was $600 and that included alterations.

“in the automobile industry” isn’t a profession

That could be a assembly worker, salesman, mechanic, BMW CEO…

How can She have savings and properties and STILL do something so stupid as to spend 112-k on a wedding? And He is that weak of a man who didn’t put a stop to this massively wasteful spending. This is doomed… the is gonna run the show and act as an anchor… It’s going to happen again… and again.. these people rarely learn. Run guy.. RUN!!!!

We spent about $1,000 on our amazing wedding near Yosemite National Park and still married after 10 years.

burning that kind of money on a wedding… you could buy half a house with it, or land. or 2 cars. I don't understand people like that…

Certainly don't live smaller.. don't get rid of a paid off vacation home.. (why the hell you pay THAT off before the primary residence is absurd to me.. ) that's worth 700 Grand that could pay off ALL debt and mortgages and sink a wad into investment or savings and to hell with another job! See ya on the lake folks..😂

Lady spends 112k on a wedding then begs husband to get her out of it. Don’t spend money you don’t have.

I think they should sell the primary house after living there for at least 2 years. If they sell it with a gain of 500k (since they’re married) they won’t be paying any capital gain tax. Then they move to the other house and live there for 2 years and then they can repeat the process. Selling the vacation home right now while they are in this sticky situation would cost them a lot of capital gains tax, hence not getting a lot of money out of it.
