I assume that the portrait that was on the wall in the oval was the original owner of the villa. It must have been some kind of king or nobleman. The kings owned several properties in different countries. It would be interesting to find out who is drawn on that wall. On the other wall, there is an inscription, apparently it was then owned by Carlo Francesco Cardinal Durini. He was born in 1693. Each cardinal has his own coat of arms and can be identified by it. He was Priest, Apostolic Nuncio, Cardinal-Priest, Titular Archbishop, Bishop. Historical monuments should not be sold. They should be owned by the state as a monument for future generations.
