Are you still doing this? I need to plan an event and have the correct amount of tables for the space. What is the best way to get in touch with you not over this chat room?

Hi Randy! What is the correct way to make a table empty again using this application? During event planning and such a lot of things constantly change around, and I can't seem to figure this out. Even if I go and delete the information on all database worksheets; the open table calculation and the color change of the table does not seem to change. Please advise!

It is impressive what you can do in Excel. But I think I would rather use dedicated seating chart software such as PerfectTablePlan. Especially for large events.

I don't like using Names. And I don't appreciate the fact that you never use listobjects. Great work otherwise.

Nice work. No more drawing on paper. It's not only for weddings, it can be used for any multi guest event.

Thanks, this is very helpful. I wish it included the location (row, col) of each table per event. The table arrangements may change per event. This is great, it has given me new ideas of how Excel & VBA can be used.

Great tutorial. is there a way you can add a number to each seat so if you have two groups at a large table you can specify where each person is seated

Hi Randy.
You truly are a wizard with Excel. I have learned just how powerful Excel can be.

This weeks video was so relevant for me as well, as I was just discussing with staff at our 2 venues how we can start a table management or reservations system!

Im going to attempt to build this out, but have a couple concerns and questions.

1. We all predominantly use Mac OS systems, though I have an office 365 myself as well.
-Do you know if we may run into issues building and using this as I often have found the Excel for Mac isn't quite the same?

2. Our 1 venue has 3 floors.
An Asian Bistro on the Ground floor, Then the 2nd and 3rd floor is more geared towards a nightclub and DJ theme.
The second venue is a 2 floor pub, with 2 outdoor seating decks as well.
-Can I create this with a multiple floor design in mind?
As all tables have a unique number, im sure we could build all tables onto 1 single screen, but that would get very crowed and surely cause some confusion at times.
-Can we have the table screen layout on separate visual screens?

3. Finally, can this be set up and used on a cloud system for access by multiple staff for real time live review and update, such as a shared Google Drive or sheets file?

I thank you in advance for all your incredible educational material and assistance, and If you ever find yourself dropping down from Vietnam to Bali Indonesia, I extend a warm welcome to connect with us and come for dinner and drinks. It would be a great pleasure to meet you in person. 😉
