Why not the 18mm f/1.4 WR instead of the 23mm? At least looks more logical to me 18, 33, 56.

Thanks for your wonderful videos. I just took possession of my XT5 today. Upgrading from an XT2! It’s pretty crazy amazing.

hey john, thanks for your videos, really helping me out for my 2nd wedding i'm about to shoot.

i noticed you never used anything above 56mm, is there a reason for that? 🙂

What are your thoughts about choice between X-H2 and X-H2S? I was looking for a long time to switch from full frame Canon to Fuji apsc, and I am not sure what would be a better choice for corporate events, architecture and construction photography. I would pair the body with the Sigma 16mm 1.4, Viltrox 27mm 1.2 and 75mm 1.2 and Godox V1 for start…

what do you think of the x-pro3 for weddings? I shoot with Nikon dslr's but thinking to add 2 fuji X-Pro3 for a wedding kit. By the way where do you shoot weddings at?

One thing I will add to the dance floor that people might learn is that you need 1.4 or 1.2 not for the lower iso but for being able to use high shitter speed. Like 100th or less. Its important to freeze the movement by using fast shitter speed. Otherwise people appear ghosts😅😅

I keep my cameras on me opposite to you. I to "tight on the right" and "left on the loose" for wide hahaha

I've watched this video 3-4 times now. I love it. I just sold (KEH) off several Sony GM lenses and bought a XT-3 with the 18 to 55 kit lens. For Wedding, videography and photography. I love the Fuji. I'll be getting all my Sony equipment together this Sunday and giving KEH a call to set up a video time so I can trade it in on Fuji equipment. I'm thinking XT-5 for sure. I can't decide on the lenses though it looks like the 33 mm 1.4 is a must for me I have shot entire Weddings with a 50mm. Most wedding photographers I know love their 35 mm primes. I have never owned a 35mm lens in 29 years of business. So I'm thinking 56mm f1.2 and the 18mm f1.4 (or is the new 18 mm lens not necessary since I have the 18 to 55 kit lens?)

Great information, much appreciated. Do you do videography as well in the wedding or only still photography

Very nice video thanks! I must say I do hesitate between the 16mm 1.4 and the new 18mm 1.4 which seems amazing too. Would you have an advice on this? I’m not on 40MP bodies (i have XH1 and X-pro 2, in order to shoot with two primes like you 🙂 ) thanks!

Nice video. I have the xt3. What highlight and shadow settings do you recommend? Thanks

Great video. I just bought an XT-3 (because of you) and I absolutely love it. I think the XT-5 is next and a couple of primes. How do you carry the extra two flashes and two light stands?

I was very impressed with the great video. As someone who likes Fujifilm, I have a question.
Do you shoot in raw when taking wedding photos?
I'm worried because I heard that the crop sensor's compensation dynamic range is narrow. Have you ever experienced any inconvenience while working?

Hi I really need help with choosing a lens for weddings for my fuji xt3 but planning on getting the xh2s I was just going to buy the tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 but im now seeing allot of people saying to get the canon sigma 18 35.

I would much prefer the 1.8 aperature for low light and better depth but does that mean I need to buy a second lens for the longer local length? And have to always be switching between the 2 lenses? I have never done a wedding before. Thank you!

Considering switching from Nikon over to Fuji and am currently tossing up between the X-T5 and X-H2 so here I am 🙏🏽. Looking to do portraiture primarily, events, weddings eventually, real estate and some video and possibly live streaming.

Hey John, really love you content! I've been binge watching for the last week. I'd like to know what made you choose the V860 over the V1? I'm about to invest in my first speedlight and can't decide between the two…Thanks!

I am new to Fujifilm and just bought the X-T5. Used it along with the 16mm 2.8 on a hike I did the other day. Edited in LRc and printed out one of the images. Stunning and sharp. NIKON has been my brand to this day and have the z7 II which is great- now considering selling off NIKON!?

Currently with XT4’s. Been kicking around XH2 or XT5 for my fall season.

I have used the 16mm 1.4 for years now. The one thing to be aware of is that it is not the sharpest at f1.4 compared to the 18mm 1.4., 23mm 1.4. or 33mm 1.4. However you can stop it down to 1.8 or 2 and the sharpness improves dramatically. If you know how to use it it is a great lens. The close focus distance is amazing and if you are close to your subject it is very sharp at 1.4 (but not at middle or far distance).

Would have loved to hear why you don't use a more tele portrait lens like the Viltrox 75mm and why the 16mm instead of the 18mm. And why you don't carry a ultra wide for group shots in tight spaces don't you encounter situations where you would want more reach or more wideness. Love the harness, looking fire.

you don't mention the GFX100s in your kit… ? I run both 100s and xt3/4 doing a wedding on Saturday … thinking 80 1.7 with 56 and 16 on others. Do you mix the two systems now you have XT5 and in what situations do you find yourself using the 100s . Thanks for all your videos, they are great.

But I have a question sir and I hope you can help me what trigger do I need to buy for xt-5?

I just switched from Canon to the new Fuji xt5 and my first lense is the Fujinon 33mm 1.4. I am a beginner Wedding photographer and want to buy for this season a second Lense. Which one would you recommend to get as the second one? 🙂 should I go wider or closer? Would love to hear your recommendation!

Thanks John for another great video featuring th X-T5. I am moving from the X-T3 to the 5 , as I believe you did, so your informative videos are very helpful for me.
I don't do weddings, just Street and Travel world wide.

Just buying new gear just because is a SCAM,and it
is the same scams each year. Here are the scams…YT says you NEED more FPS/MP…YT says you need 4k/8k…YT says you need new computers and software,as if the stuff you used last year expired..

Why not a GFX? Or you do prefer an aps-c crop?

Hi John, when you used your XT3, what did you do for Autofocus? Were you in continuous or single? zone or spot? Eye detection on or off? Thanks a lot!

I’m just going to copy your kit except do the 18 since i already have it instead of 16. Weddings are starting to kick off for me and I want two do the same cameras and not a gfx and xpro3.
