I have worn suits ranging from $50-$2,000 and I still think my banana republic suit is one of my favorites. Whatever looks good and fits well is good enough for me, especially if it brings in more compliments than when I wear a more expensive suit.

some of these rankings are completely bizarre, for example armani collezioni is made by zegna at the usual quality level so they should have more or less equal quality with slight differences in fabric choice, structure and fit. in fact zegna, lardini and canali make for many brands, and RL also subcontracts to other manufacturers….

Suitsupply was no good experience. They prohibit you from trying on things without a seller following you.

Some points are very superficial. You can get a classic garment from Hugo Boss. Of course they have fashion-forward stuff, but I had the chance to buy a suit in a store and was pleasantly surprised. Trousers are rather high waisted, shoulders are padded, silhouette works very well – only pleats are missing though. I was able to buy a full-wool 3-piece suit for 700€ and it is very very comfortable. I don't know about all the other stuff, but as a slim and tall Austrian, their suits fit me very well. Schöne Grüße!

How about suits from Mantoni? The suit shop near me the special orders from this company and I’ve never heard of them and would like some insight from anyone on here!

The tierlist has Regent but you didn’t talk about the brand. The brand just suddenly appeared on the tierlist. Why is that?

Very disparaging categories: What a way to put off people from even wanting to dip the their toe into higher quality suits. Not a gentlemanly nor helpful video.

There is certainly a little to you get what you pay for…to a certain degree. I have tried the majority of labeled suits. Boss, Baker, Burberry Ford (the majority of my suits) etc etc. The best off the rack is Ford, followed by Burberry, then Baker then Boss. The best suit is a private tailor. Measured and fitted with material of choice. And guess what, not only is the fit better. But it is much cheaper than a Ford suit. With much higher quality materials. So, as Barney would say, I have a suit guy. And I highly recommend you find one too.

Thank you very much for this video.
In my experience I would defer a little bit with the A B C rankings in some of the brands that I have personally tried myself.
Kiton, Cesare attolini, rubinacci, cyfonelli are a solid A no doubt about that, but Ralph Lauren purple label is more a B, on the other hand isaia and brioni should be definitely A, they are better than Ralph Lauren, I know Ralph Lauren made in England has a classic cut, but I personally owned a Chester Barrie hand made in savile row and the Chester Barrie suit has a superior quality than the Ralph Laurent purple label. For example brunello cucinelli should be a B their suits have handmade work and the cashmere that they use is top of the line.
