Can't find any info on buying shirts with holes on both plackets to utilize shirt studs. Doesn't seem to be mentioned in the description when buying a shirt. Any help would be appreciated!

🇹🇹 As a 52yrs.old man i'm still learning & happy to do so…Thank You for taking the time to educate us all on the correct way of wearing a tuxedo so we can pass it down to the next generation.

I felt the extended advert for your studs was a bit unnecessary. You contradict yourselves as well, stating that mechanisms are more prone to failure, but then claiming that your own mechanistic studs are perfectly reliable. I think the video could have benefited from slightly more subtle product placement as it somewhat undermines its didactic remit, coming off a little too pitchy at times. Just some feedback.

Most people here will havr a traditional black tuxedo, and I think black mother of pearl stud and cufflink set looks the best. My set has a slight tinge of purple and green but mostly black which harmonises amazingly with the tuxedo. just subtle elegance. Gold with a tuxedo looks a little ostentacious if youre not old money. White mother of pearl blends too much with a white shirt.

I am struggling with which type of colouring my studs should be for black-tie. I really don't like onyx as I feel its just as ostentacious as gold. I really think mother-of-pearl looks great for black-tie which has a subtle elegance. I'm thinking either white MoP or smoked MoP, in sterling silver. Still need to think on this…….

What's everyone including GG's opinion on gemstone dress studs? For example, Lapiz or topaz?

Their store charges $21 minimum for shipping. I wanted 2 pairs of $9 laces. $21 to ship. Ridiculous. Fix that man. I didn’t buy because it’s absurd.

I come from an Indian business community where we enjoy wearing our studds on long Kurtas. Most of us have atleast 2/ 3 pairs of detachable shirt buttons made of silver with gold inlays, ruby, emerald and pearl stones. We have been wearing these for 500+ years.

Hey I’m going on a business trip soon and I was wondering. If you guys could or have done a right way to pack suit case video. If you could that would be great if you can make a video on that.

I don't dress well or appropriately, have no interest in doing so, and am glad that formal dress has essentially died out in business. But I do watch your channel from time to time because it is very well done, everything is presented in a fair and balanced way and your posts are very well thought out. The wonderful language and very good intonation match. You are a piece of an ideal world.

😎 Thanks GG⚓️ ? I’m new here, nice channel. Got a ??? What’s up with the ‘small suit’? It looks ridiculous, Once watched an interview with Channing Tatum… some junket flogging a movie…. The jacket was at the top of the trousers pocket in behind….. not a good look.

You left out the clutch style. I have a set of vintage Krementz clutch style studs that I am on the look out for matching cufflinks. It is a simple very effective design. Very strong, secure and easy to use. I'm surprised it is not used more. It is similar to the hinge style but is 2 piece.

I find you guys an absolute riot. My father went in for onyx in gold T-back style shirt studs with a variety of cufflinks. He had the one tuxedo that he wore from the White House to my wedding along with its suspenders and cummerbund. He wore over-the-calf socks with either some sort of garter or the rubberbands from the Sunday Washington Post. He had several pairs of shoes that went with him to be repaired at the shop in London where he had them made. I am sorry to say that his shoes and pretty well all of his suits and ties simply disintegrated in the years after he died. His pocket squares were one thing and his cotton pocket-handkerchiefs were another. No, he did not have neck-gap or shoulder dimples even in the vile 1980s. What he did have were sports jackets over short-sleeved shirts in some sort of joke casual style and an eye-crossing number of ties. His clothing budget was rather larger than my mother's who spent hours at the sewing machine turning out her required evening gowns. It's not all fair, or gravy in reality.
