The mere fact that she doesn't show her face is a red flag

I'm calling it now, she rents dresses and poses as an independent boutique and sends the Light in the Box version she actually purchases and sends to client's. She's still making a profit either way.

Then her socials are just stolen connent and clients navigating on good faith.

Her entire business is a giant game of bluff, but I'm seeing significantly less receipts from Casze

Ok you’re a black woman owned business. Cool! You still have obligations to fulfill. Stop bringing that stupid shit up, as if you’re not supposed to be held to the same standard as everyone else. She’s literally shining a bad light on black womens owned businesses.
For reference, I am a white woman. I generally buy what appeals to me most. I know, my culture is more generic. But I get it, some people will veer towards a woman-owned business. Or a Native American owned business or what have you. They choose where to spend their dollars with that in mind. But that doesn’t mean those same customers are expecting to pay more money for a product that isn’t what they’re being sold. Business is business and I find it DISGUSTING that this dressmaker wants to bring up “black woman owned business”.

@CountessOlaf 8 October 2024 - 5:04 pm

Body shapes/sizes aside, they are two different dresses period. I would side with the dressmaker if it was exactly the same dress but the customer was being unreasonable about not looking exactly the same as the model in the dress. That would be a customer problem. But that’s not what happened

That dress is hideous….

The final dress shouldn't have to have any alterations, that's what the fitting is for… she knows she's a scammer😮

Go fund me is for people is not for people who screw up their business, its for people who through no fault of their, have come up On hardships, like someone gets sick and needs help because the main bread winner for the family is the person who is sick, even if you do save money for emergencies, it doesn't take long

The audacity to say "The customer denied MY RIGHT to come to her house and pick it up!" Her whole GoFundMe is manipulation. The dressmaker did NOTHING in "good faith." On top of acting like her crappy custom-made dresses are a benefit to the Alanta community…. It's giving delusional.

Shes giving me "make up artist girl" vibes
Completely tone deaf like the woman that overstayed her welcome at a wedding she wasn't invited to

In the US, you can reach out to the postal service and request that they intercept the package but it’s not guaranteed. Done it once before with USPS

@lisabeth2994 8 October 2024 - 5:04 pm

I think the reason she wanted the dress back was because she didn’t want the client to take the pictures to show everyone online what the dress actually looked like. She was covering her tracks so that she looked like the victim. I also think that she knew fine well the dress was terrible!! Instead of waiting to go on the defence, she jumped on the offensive (knowing bride would be busy)and that’s why she jumped to social media straight away….not saying she is very bright but she is cunning and gross

Reply
@lisabeth2994 8 October 2024 - 5:04 pm

The dress looked like the temu version of what it’s meant to!! 😂 that poor bride but please buy off a reputable company only since it’s such an important item.

Postal services in Ukraine have "pay it on arrival" service. You recieve order, look at it, either pay and claim or return without paying

The dress was only like $6k ! So, that GFM is WILD! It’s 2x the amount of the original price of the dress.

The groom wore a stupid cowboy hat and jeans. I don't think the trashy dress was such a disaster. 😂

Reply
@psychicrenegade 8 October 2024 - 5:04 pm

There are other obvious lies in there as well…the original dress was actually around $6,000 and not $10,000. And the client paid 60% as a down payment.

I know I’ve commented on something similar with another wedding dress drama that’d happened late last month/early this month: But if you’re wearing a custom dress for your wedding, give yourself OVER A YEAR for that dress to be made, and make sure you have at minimum, THREE MONTHS before the wedding for any alterations. If you can’t get a custom dress done before then, trust me when I say you’re going to end up buying 2 different dresses and spending more money than is necessary.

I am a cosplayer. I know about con crunching. I don’t allow myself to do that anymore. I’ve made friends in the cosplay community who make custom dresses (bridal, quinceañera, homecoming, prom, etc) and costumes. They’ve been doing this for DECADES now. My advice comes from them.

Don’t continue to stress yourself out before your wedding. If you have to lie to the dressmaker about when your wedding is just to make sure your dress comes in on time before your wedding, then lie. You will have more wiggle room for any adjustments that you need.

Why isn't this woman in jail???. And why didn't the dress maker just say this is something far beyond what I'm use too. ..

Omg!! This poor bride!! I would have lost my mind! I'd have been like please come to my house to pick up this monstrosity, PLEASE. Cause we are going to throw hands!!! 🤬 I got stressed just listening to this! I hope she still enjoyed her special day ❤

In addition to the lawsuit for the 6k deposit, because the dress maker intentionally posted lies on social media, she also has a defamation claim.

The designer is a SCAMMER that can’t get a real job and work like everyone else and now wants other people to just give her money. This is the most insane thing ever. The girl paid 60% and the girl didn’t even wear the dress. And if you can’t pay your employees and rent because of 1 dress then maybe this girl needs to get off the drugs and get a real job

Reply
@crimeandclaws 8 October 2024 - 5:04 pm

They need to go out of business so they can never do this again. Imagine the audacity of sending that monstrosity to a customer that paid you 6k for it… then ruining her wedding sending an angry TikTok mob after her because she didnt want to deal with you THE DAY BEFORE HER WEDDING as you show up at her house. This situation is insane and I feel so bad for that poor girl, weddings are SO stressful, my own went fairly smooth and it still felt disastrous so I cant imagine scrambling to find a whole new dress 2 days before knowing you will not be able to wear your dream dress and have to settle for whatever is on the rack. Truly heartbreaking honestly.

The designer made the dress for her body type it seems. Because when the buyer put the dress on it did not fit her body.. which is INSANE when you think about it because this was supposed to be custom to fit the buyers body, not the designer

I’m sure anyone who has a business if u send something out (I personally wouldn’t send something without it being paid for first) you expect to get paid for it and if it’s not you’re going to be angry.. I don’t agree with everything having to be out there on the Internet, but that’s me I would personally just sue and leave it at that

Reply
@juliexx1980 8 October 2024 - 5:04 pm

Something that isn’t paid for but kept its theft… I personally wouldn’t show up at someone’s house I would sue them… I feel like I’m missing something here as to why the dressmaker was in the wrong.. she made a dress a dress was tried on, and it wasn’t paid for… I’m happy for someone to tell me if I’ve missed something but that’s how it seems to be.

Reply
@juliexx1980 8 October 2024 - 5:04 pm

Sorry I’m a bit confused. The lady clearly said that this woman had tried on the dress. Everything was perfect for the dress and all she did was send it to her. I’m failing to see how the dressmaker is in the wrong here.. maybe I’ve missed some of it, but I heard her say she tried on the dress beforehand before she sent it..??

I CANNOT believe people donated to this scammer! It’s crazy she wants to be paid on a faulty dress that she didn’t even wear and that girl, didn’t even wear it. I would ask for my money back actually. She USED this story for clout and handouts, people were dumb to fall for it and donate. I hate the black women owned argument im SICK of it. As a brown girl, mannnn they use this shit allll the fucking time! The dress is hideous btw, her last minute dress was much more elegant.

This chick wont last in business, always late, unprofessional, rude, no customer privacy or professionalism and cant stick to a time and show up. Ughhh, im so mad!!! The whole shipping is an excuse, she gave incorrect tracking so she’s paid in full first. Also if she’s so tight on money why get a last minute plane ticket? Why is she asking strangers for almost 10k more than she’s owed????

Reply
@basyalicious 8 October 2024 - 5:04 pm

I’m sorry…$10,000 dress?!!! That’s a Pnina at Kleinfelds! You’d expect nothing but perfection for that price. One gem out of place and the bride has every reason to be upset coz it’s supposed to be luxurious not something off temu

Reply
@Angusbeens 8 October 2024 - 5:04 pm

Saying that you need $12,000 for a dress to pay for it and pay the workers, how were you going to pay the workers before when you were just charging $6k ?
