The only way you can tell if the drummer is really good is to listen to him, and the inventor of the drumming for the song- Steve Smith. The drummer is not too bad, but the original is much better. His version is much more stripped down and simplified than the original version. He definitely didn't "kill " it, and he's not "bad ass". He's fine for a wedding reception.
