Mother tells it like it is.
With respect to Mother Angelics, there is more to say. Loving other people is not wrong; being very committed to them likewise. Sexual expression of any love outside true marriage is gravely sinful.
This is certainly not the best way to answer the issue. Simply because she did not answer: he tells her that he finds it difficult to be gay and Catholic, so he knows perfectly well that the practice is supposed to be a sin. So she is not teaching him anything, she is just emphasizing again what hurts him. And moreover, what she says is wrong: being actively homosexual, with and even without regret, does not make one leave the Catholic religion. It is funny that it is the only sin for which this is said.
The main enemy of sexual minorities is ignorance. The book RAINBOW BIBLE by Dr. Alex Hope (available from Amazon Books) contains excellent scientific information that can change the minds of those who oppose LGBTQ+ and raise the self-esteem of members of sexual minorities.

NO!!!! you can be a Christian (Catholic or Protestant or Orthodox) and be the person you were to be and love the person God in Christ shows you on the way to love… Love is never a sin and the condamnetion which is written in the Bible is not referred to sexual orientation and love, but to sacred prostitution (leviticus 18,22) and the vice of sex lived as vanity and idolatry (Book of Romans). God in Christ welcomes each and everyone of us as we are and accepts us as we are. Besides, the Gospels do not mention the sexual oriantation of Jesus so, he might be Heterosexual and might be LGBTQ.
P.s. if he was in italy, I would say to him: come to the Waldensian and Methodist Churches where everybody is welcome as she/he is… No one will reject you in our Churches!!!!! They are very small Churches, but inclusive 100%.

Yeah this is it right here. What most people get mixed up is simply putting the label on themselves as “being gay” but it’s not something you can be, it’s just referring to the sexual act itself of homosexuality, and just like hitting someone for no reason, it is a sin. Sin is an archery term meaning to miss. It’s not that you can’t do it, it’s just implying that there are other options and ways to approach those urges inside. Just like me doing heroin again, it’s going to bring me down there is more for me out here than that to do that is also more beneficial to me and the people I meet to try and avoid doing those things. Of course the lord and savior Jesus Christ will take you as you are, but if you follow him and want to do as he tells us to do, you MUST lay down your shortcomings and sins to him, and to do you best to aim higher, better, every moment of every day. Pride is never a word that had a positive meaning, why is it in June in the summer? Because pride comes before the fall.
