To piggy back off your towel tip…many hotels in Europe don’t have wash cloths. Many Americans like to use these. So pack a couple cheap ones to have if you want to use them and your hotel doesn’t provide any.
Could I suggest if you travel with someone both pack your own case and them take out some items out of each case and put them in the other case if a bag goes missing during fight at least you'll both have something to wear?
Apps, Apps, Apps! Whatever countries I travel to I preload local Train, Bus (Flixbus etc), Airline and local transit (Metros) apps. I found that Whatsapp can be a lifesaver when trying to call local. Don't forget a VPN for your phone or computer in order to connect to your bank, credit cards over the internet back home. It won't hurt to contact your bank to let them know your travel plans so as not to get your credit card or debit card blocked. Adjust your phone by adding your country codes to your local home phone numbers in order to be able to call back to your home country. I have been using T-mobile and the plan I have covers data and texting from overseas. I usually carry only a backpack when I travel less than a month. I have been doing this for over 50 years I am in my mid 70's. I traveled all the world with the acception of Antcartica. Happy travels.
Great video! I also recommend making sure your passport and driver's license are up to date.
